Playoff predictions as off today news and observer

They have mt airy in 1a. They said they used last years enrollment but put mt airy in small A. So its trash.
I think it's all speculative until ADMs come out, but I think going to 48 teams should push the 1A/1AA cut line higher than people are used to.
Looking at the 1A conferences, there are only 14 of them so at least two conferences will get two teams with a first round bye. The other one according to this would be the Yadkin Valley conference with North Rowan and North Stanly both having round one bye.
This is a major screw up letting maxpreps deciding playoff berths.
Like I Said ,the NCHSAA is just getting the monkey off their backs so if it don't go right MaxPrep gets the blame. Well we are not stupid and know it is the NCHSAA that has the control and if it goes wrong it is their responsibility ! Who knows how many employs the NCHSAA has and if and how much MaxPrep is getting paid to do this ?
My side with all this is that's it starting to get very irritating have the playoff system change almost every year or ever other year. First it was pods; then it was a win/conference win requirement (which I liked,) now it's this ratings mess.. ugh.
I seen a projection on one of the computer done previews that had an 0-11 team making the 2A playoffs.. yeah. Just because they have a hard non con schedule. That should never happen at any level.

Also how will dropping to 48 team effect the cut off points.
Seems it would raise the 1A cut off # . I have never understood how the cut off changes from year to year.
