Will the NCHSAA take into consideration stadium size for playoff seeding due to covid restrictions?
never heard that to happen, I just say thats ain't happeningI do that there are stadium capacity requirements when it comes to hosting playoff games. I don't know the specifics, buy there are some guidelines and if you have a home playoff game but can't meet capacity requirements for that round your game could be moved.
To my knowledge it has never actually happened. But it is in the rule book.never heard that to happen, I just say thats ain't happening
ever heard that for 2A its 3,00; but with covid and everything it wont be imposed, it wouldn't be without covid. The association is be looked/exmikned very carefully about s state legislative committee about inequities, etc. You start imposing something like that and you'd get in trouble I imagine.I don't know the exact numbers but let say per NCHSAA rules to host a playoff game a stadium must meet a minimum capacity of 5000. Well small school A earned a home game but they only have a total capacity of 4500... They could lose their home game based upon that... Like I said though I don't think it's ever happened and doubt that it would. But it COULD happen...

I hear this every year and have NEVER seen the seating capacity factor be enforced.....................by the way Wiz....congrats to Clinton on the win over WRH......................never heard that to happen, I just say thats ain't happening
I can assure you the visitor factor has not been enforced in the past...2012 Reidsville played at Carrboro in the 3rd round of playoffs and their visitor stands couldn't seat 50 people much less 750...nothing has changed there from what I hear.....of course Carrboro now is really a weak program so no problem....but my point is.....NCHSAA is not really known for being hard core on this so called "rule"........................Ask and ye shall receive, my friend:
NCHSAA 2021 Football Handbook & Rules
scroll down and find 4.5.5 detailing playoff site stadium capacity requirements
1A: 1000K (home) — 500 (visitor)
2A: 1450K (home) — 750 (visitor)
3A: 2000K (home) — 1000K (visitor)
4A: 2,500K (home) — 1500K (visitor)
It details the steps the NCHSAA can make if the requirements aren’t met. Most likely it would go to an agreed upon neutral field.
