Hey, will that count as a forfeit? Or does Mountain View get to just walk away from their season without the L's?
In the past, if teams canceled their season during the season then the teams they had scheduled could get a forfeit win if they weren't able to pick someone else up.
If you replace them it's a no contest. If it isn't replaced or made up at later date than it can be either a forfeit or a no contest. Both teams are supposed to agree whether it is forfeit or no contest. If they don't agree and in the same district, then a district committee decides. If they are in different districts then a regional committee is created and it decides.
In some cases, it may benefit a team to take it as a no contest rather than a forfeit win. All depends on classifications of teams involved and possible future rider points.
