Ugh... must have been tired. Yes, I meant rrp not elmonster. You responded to both of them. Did you not mean to on the second one where you quoted rrp?
Love me some round peg in a round hole. Sorry, forgot this wasn't the yoga thread.I'm ecstatic that we have 2+ kids on the roster capable of playing QB. Hopefully we now have round peg in round hole and they will get the coaching they need.
My hope is that they will continue to progress as quarterbacks. The last 2 starters I believe gave it their all but you had to look pretty hard to notice any difference in their progression at the end of year 4 vs. the beginning of year 1.
That can't happen with the next one.
Doubt very much he will be in the college FB HOF. But he might be good enough to start at NU this fall. And if POB (or Gebbia) is able to outplay him, so much the better.Tanner Lee's legend continues to grow by the day around here.
I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but this is true. Tulane was on a lot a couple years ago. Seems like less this year.Channel 1234 on Cox had Tulane games on often (CBS?) and streaming them online, you can watch any game at any time. I bet CFB so that's why I watched random Tulane games. The first time I saw Lee I was impressed. He has everything we're looking for in a qb; I haven't been this exciting for an upcoming Nebraska season since 2009.
He was the starter, then got beat out and would have been the backup. My point is, this is nebraska. We should never be excited to get leftovers from arizona state. Now we have a savior from tulane!?!? How much furthwr can the bar be lowered? Ill root for him if hes the starter because hes N, but, really guys? If he was that great, why didnt any other school try to nab him up?You talking about Keller? He started for ASU, didn't he? I remember he nearly beat USC with his arm, and had good stats his junior year. I'll admit I was stoked when he was coming... did not think he was gonna be as bad as he was for us.
Understood that Lee left because Tulane was changing offensive systems. From Yahoo: He decided to leave Tulane after the school hired Willie Fritz as head coach. Fritz, formerly of Georgia Southern, runs an option offense that does not fill the skillset of the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lee, who is more suited for a pro-style system. Lee was able to successfully appeal for a 6th year of eligibility based on this.He was the starter, then got beat out and would have been the backup. My point is, this is nebraska. He didn't get beat out, he left when the new staff came and LSU was also after him, not just us.He was the starter, then got beat out and would have been the backup. My point is, this is nebraska. Perhaps, for sure with some posters. If Zac Taylor had transferred from Wake Forest to Nebraska rather than a stop at JUCO would he be viewed as a loser and a leftover from Wake?
Well, that's a little more assuring. Also, him leaving because if offensive philosophy rather than him getting beat out is even a bigger deal. I will shut my mouth now til i see the results on the field. He didn't get beat out, he left when the new staff came and LSU was also after him, not just us.
Because Les Miles' QBs were sooooo good...Jeez guys Les Miles hasn't even joined the staff yet as QB coach. Once he jumps on board I'm confident he will do a thorough evaluation of both and the one that gives us he best chance to win will play.
Absolutely. The best thing we can possibly do to ensure future success is stockpile good, talented QB's.Maybe you all are correct but I really, really am glad to have them both. Let the best man win, besides we need more than one QB.
I hope to heck Lee is the real deal because it is my understanding that POB needs to make a huge leap this offseason to even be in the same zip code as other division 1 QBs
Assuming you mean crouch? When TMart was at Nebraska we were nowhere close to a NC.

You know you totally missed his point ? In any case, negative comments based on guesses is a way to paint anyone? POB has quite a resume that he worked very hard to attain - and we really went after this Elite 11 qb. And he is still growing as a player. ,,, The other has some amazing talent; some like to throw stats where his team was overmatched to degrade him. To even get an offer from a top school; you have to be a cut above 99 of 100 males in football ability. Which gains you scrutiny on the net and some free shots.Seriousely?
