All franchises do dumb things. Some move on faster rather than going from bad to worse. I have no clue wth the Jets are doing, but it's making almost everyone forget Al Davis's last decade as owner of the Raiders.
I watched the game the other night. Their coach is horrible . The Jets had a minute before half and needed 20 yards to set up a FG and they basically take a knee. Then at the end of the game he goes for it on 4th and 9 instead of trying a 58 yd FG. Of course Fields gets sacked.

So, you're one of the brilliant minds that think Stoops won't let the OC do his job?

You think he told 3 straight years of coordinators NOT to run the ball when USC and others couldn't stop it, and cost us games because of it? Tell me another story, but let's leave out the unicorns and fairy dust.
He might not tell them the plays to run but he definitely tells them to play slow ball and milk the clock. That has been the theme of every OC he has had in his 14 years.

Of course they are waving another country's flag (Venezuela). It's such a great place that you illegally entered into the US to get away from it.
These people are invaders. Pure and simple.

Exactly.

Deport them all now or face the consequences in time.

Nah. They had their chance to 1. Self deport, 2. Self deport and get some cash on the way out the door, 3. Stfu about it and hide

We're at step 4 now. Tell them that all illegals caught protesting and/or assaulting authorities and/or citizens will be facing a minimum of 5 years in max security until and even after deportation, and will be shot on sight if assaulting anyone. Protesters waving foreign flags and joining in will be assumed to be here illegally or inciting violence. Each will be a minimum 5 year sentence in max security.

Tell them "yes" there is a "Step 5" and it will be much worse.

Love the Stoops Derangement Syndrome of some UK fans. They can't even shut up and be happy he could possibly leave. This is the worst place to be a FB coach. I seriously doubt they could handle it if UK didn't absolutely suck at football every 15 years.
in fairness, UK is probably a top 75, maybe top 50 program. Our coach is paid Top 10.

That is why people are fed up with Stoops. Combine that and his flirtation with TA&M a few years ago, out of the blue ... and the combo of overpaid, underperforming and unwilling to stay here and be loyal makes it understandable why people are ready to see him leave.

I wish his contract said ... whereever UK ends up on Sagarin rating, then your pay will be no higher than anyone above you. I know ... impossible to make legal, but would certainly motivate the behavior fans demand.

Saw on Legacy media Tony Blinken and the other Biden crew taking credit for the peace deal. Said they mostly completed it, Trump stepped in to all their tirelessly laid groundwork to finish it.

THE Anthony Blinken that during the Biden admin helped Iran get to "less than two weeks" before they would be in production of enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon? That Blinken farce? Yeah. That admin was pouring gas on the open flame of the middle east. I'll withhold my applause

Pigs be over in the corner trying to keep a low profile. They know better than to mess with bacon. That's when the true revolt begins.

Not to rain too heavily on anyone's parade, but halal companies have bought I think at least 2 of America's large(st?), commercial pork producers over the past 10 years. Smithfield and one other

I love you man, but this football. I can't just ignore stuff. It's my favorite game in this f'ed up world.

in fairness, UK is probably a top 75, maybe top 50 program.

Sure. After the last 20 years, maybe UK could be considered between top 75 all time. Top 50 at times and consistently from 2006-2023.

Our coach is paid Top 10.

... and has to be If were going to be competitive. It's UK Football. Bama can pay less and still draw the best HC.

If they want to get better like they did from 2013-2023, thats what you do. You pay your coach and incentivize his contract. The problem was not disincentivizing the same contract if the team didnt meet the same criteria. When we didnt reach 7 wins, it should've reduced his buyout total and contractual years.

We're where we are now because we won games and went to bowls. We're not scraping the bowl for recruits because we won. The problem is we won with a different style than weve gotten OCs and OL coaches to run since 2021.

That is why people are fed up with Stoops.

That would be arguable if they didnt want him fired from the day he was hired. It would be arguable if they gave him credit for the success he HAS had. It would be arguable if they werent also angry that he considered leaving for A&M, and would consider leaving for any other P5 conference school.

Combine that and his flirtation with TA&M a few years ago, out of the blue ...

"...Out of the blue..."?!

Have you been on UK sports message boards related to football the last 12 years? Just curious

and the combo of overpaid, underperforming and unwilling to stay here and be loyal

... if you expect loyalty, you must first be loyal. There has been a large enough, vocal % of the fanbase that have never ceased to call for or desire his firing. Loyalty to football coaches is not a strong suit of ours.

If people were loyal and supportive, they'd have a right to be disappointed. They've been neither. That's why they're so POed he was considering A&M.

Make up your ******* minds. Do you want him to leave or do you want him to stay? If you want what's best for UKFB, you'd ******* support the coach and talk about how great he is. It's the best shot you have at success on the field, and the best shot at him leaving.

How does NO ONE get that?

makes it understandable why people are ready to see him leave.

With all due respect

"Ready..." ?

That's pretty hilarious... They wanted him to go coach Iowa or be fired in 2018 before we won 10 games with a QB about which they were similarly nasty and unappreciative. Turned on him the next couple seasons AGAIN, then briefly got real quiet in 2021. "Ready..." gtfoh with that nonsense

I wish his contract said ... whereever UK ends up on Sagarin rating, then your pay will be no higher than anyone above you. I know ... impossible to make legal,

I wish lint balls were bitcoins. See, I can do that, too. It's not impossible to make legal. It's just not how the world works. No one is signing that contract. Teams don't win titles every year. Significant players get hurt. This isn't the WNBA where it's funded by one of the most watched former sports in the world. It's UK FB in the SEC.

but would certainly motivate the behavior fans demand.

We can all b***** & moan about the contract that got us to FINISH 12th in the country in 2018, and finish 18th in 2021.

It looks good to the negs who dont know **** about FB to virtue-signal over a contract signed a while before that. If we're worried about what they think, it really is for the best. Idgaf what ignorant people think.

Neither of those seasons moved the needle to motivate better behavior, loyalty and support, by the fans. You can choose to ignore that all you want, but it's true. This fanbase TRASHED the best combination of coaching staff and results they've ever had.

UK finished 3rd and 4th in the SEC in those 2 seasons with recruiting classes not ranked in the top 8 of the conference in maybe ANY year since the staff got here. That's some seriously MEGA-overachieving, and the fans just went back to sh****** all over it immediately following 2018 and 2021.

The reason is "style of play." They "want" UK basketball on grass, even if they lose by 40. UNTIL they lose by 40. They want to go to bowl games so badly when they're 2-10, but just any bowl is beneath them when they "should've won" more games. There's no pleasing people that don't get football, but simply want titles with minimal effort, as basketball has given them for 70 years.

It's a sad ******** state commonwealth of affairs. The SDS has to stop.

It's not Miss America. It's SEC Football. You win HOWEVER you can. You recruit the players that fit a different system than what everyone else in the SEC runs, then develop, and punch up. You exploit favorable matchups when the team across from you has 5 stars 2 deep at some positions. Eventually, (but only) when you stick to what is working you start to get better and better players at those key positions that take it up a notch further.

The biggest problem with Stoops is he didn't stay the course. He broke discipline, as he does when he gets leads in games. He abandons what is working to try other things or try not to lose. His worst mistake however was listening to fans and media talk about switching to a "more exciting style of offense" where we "throw it down the field more." If you're maintaining discipline and running the score UP with WHAT'S BEEN WORKING instead of blowing possessions on both sides of the ball trying not to lose, you get enough of those open looks downfield to hit the big play. (Like the bowl winning TD pass from Bowden, the winning TD to Stevie against UL)

If you break discipline, you don't get those moments and you frustrate your own mmomentum.

Either way, I want him to stop doing undisciplined things or move on. He's a good coach with bad habits, but sometimes and some places those bad habits can't be overcome easily. UK is one of those places.

Parallel headline-

"POS coward hides in home to address protestors taking water cannons to the face for him, urging them to "Gtf back up.." and "..do your job so I don't have to do mine!"

Sub-header "The senator then went back to checking his bank balance after HIS CHECK cleared on Friday. "It's a shame so many are suffering, not getting their checks, simply because Democrats couldn't take money for and from citizens to give to people who hate our country and its laws, but not our money."

If I were Glenn Beck, I'd be concerned that they showed up to a (sort of) "whistle-blower's" office. People frequently have bad unrelated outcomes after that happens. I'd like to think it has changed, but I don't yet have any proof. They have more resources than Glenn does, and needed to talk to HIM to about Antifa to find out things? Nothing fishy about that. I'm sure he'll be fine

Over 15 seconds for the first tower to fall. Never seen a demolition that slow before.

50% slower than either of the twin towers. I wonder if all of the concrete turned to powder as any of these fell? What do yall think?

I used to think all that was an unhinged conspiracy theory. After learning all the diabolical things the CIA did over the years, combined with all the weird coincidences in terms of being allowed entry, flight training, etc.... I think the CIA certainly had at least something to do with it.

Without massive help, there is absolutely zero way something this complex ever gets pulled off. No chance. No coincidence the pres was out of DC, to ensure they didn't really step into **** by accidentally taking him out.

I still cant believe the majority of our fans still routinely trash the best OC we ever had and one of the best in the nation. All because he had to adjust to talent and run the ball.

Gran was so masterful the Bowden year, installing two completely different brand new offenses on the fly, it literally moved Chris Doering to tears on SEC Nation. It was that incredible.

Next season, the covid year, the cries get too loud and he agreed to get fired so we could move on.

UK does not need to pay top 10 money to be competitive. In the current SEC, UK needs to have its bar as 8/9 wins, w/ a consistent 6/7. If you catch lightning in a bottle then you may see 10, as Stoops fortunately did twice. We are not competing for the SEC title, and in this day of NIL, there will be plenty of cash to divy out to see that 6-9 win season routinely. There are plenty of bright coaches who would love to coach in the SEC and you won't have to empty the kitty to get them.

okay. perhaps you have strong feelings on this topic and would like to explore those? LOL.

I get your frustration, some people wanted him fired from day 1. i wasn't one of those ... i have supported him completely. I remember on June 19th, 2013 UK had 18 commits and was #1 in the country! that was fing exciting. Texas had 19 recruits and was #2. That was fun! That Stoops, while learning, had a fire in him.

While i have supported him, I think he has lost his mojo here and I don't believe we'll get it back. I could be wrong and all i was really saying ... i understand why people are upset ... top 10 pay, should get better than top 75, top 50. I think if UK was rated in the Top 15/20 and went 3-5 or 5-3 in the SEC more people would be okay with that. I sure would.

i think UK needs to have a downfield threat (think Badet, Bowden) and dominate the LOS with a power ground game. That keeps D on their heels and honest. UK has become too one-dimensional ... ironically no passing game.

i ran the option in HS and college so was excited to watch Bowden grow. had he stayed and played QB his senior year, he could've been a heisman candidate.

BTW, the pass to Stevie against UL was Brooks, not CMS. FB is the greatest sport.

I don't really believe it's for real but like I said one can have hope 😊
I think the tweet was mainly somebody running with a headline or rumor they saw. He may be considered for the job, where he is in their pecking order, who knows? I doubt he's number 1 or even 2 or 3. It very well could be Stoops agent leaking this to put feelers out for other offers.
