Are there still people on here that are hanging onto that Iroquois/Constitution hoax for dear life?

Truly don't understand that. The entire notion is laughable. I don't get why THIS is the hill they want to die on.
Can guarandamntee that if Dion was here, he'd be rattling off these soliloquies defending the Iroquois thing, claiming he knows better because he's all Edumacated with a "History Degree" and we're all back woods hillbillies, so he's more indoctrinated qualified to give us the "proper" explanation of it.

The United States commemorates Constitution Day on September 17, the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution in Philadelphia in 1787. Celebrations usually include readings and discussions of the history of the document and its writing and influences. Many say that the United States, one of the oldest continuous democracies in the world drew influencefor its constitution and governmental structure from an even older democracy, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

This is almost exactly like modern journalism- just make a claim without citation- and push it as narrative. Not a surprise that it reflects the lack of trustworthiness that has infected our institutions. “Better to be incorrect than racist or inequitable”, a belief that has nearly ruined us over the last 40 years.

“Many say that males can become females!” Lol.

What industries are you referring to? Just curious.

Mostly tech.. but its not JUST tech positions. Its HR, admins. Its warehousing, retail jobs, customdr support. Verizon posted its biggest round of cuts ever. One friend lost his job as a shift supervisor at a bread company that just did layoffs.

And also, not a lot of mobility right now in a job market many are calling "no fire, no hire", basically meaning everything is standing still. So you might be holding onto your job, but youre not moving upwards as companies are in a "no hire" phase.

Couple that with rising insurance costs, goods, services. Its hard not to see so many more families being pinched and how many more are noe going into the red instead of the black.

If the economy doesnt get turned around, its gonna be rough. Our company just did 10% layoffs. Tons of other companies already doing the same. Its hard for me to envision this getting better before it gets worse. And while us Paddock posters might be fine, I see a lot of families struggling.

Same.

Nope. Cars won't get much cheaper. They'll just lay off more people. They'll be forced to increase "rebates" and other gimmicks that make the vehicles worth less, but they won't lower the sticker prices.

The problem with what you shared here ^^ is that we can't forget we were ALREADY in a recession under Biden. All of the fake job and economy numbers were revealed, but no one publicly put the pieces together to say it.

Housing prices HAD to retract because the engineered false scarcity and corporate buying together drove them up artificially. (Don't even get me started on Zestimates, though. That feature is useless.) They likely still need to retract further. It sucks for people that purchased during the last 2 years, but they overpaid. It will take a few years for a lot of them to see any appreciation.

If we don't go through this correction, this recession will be an economic collapse. That's what ignoring it for 4 years was leading to. We need to get millions of people out of this country faster or we won't make it through. We have to go after the black rocks and banks and such that engineered the housing shortage or we won't recover.

I don't see us doing the latter, just like I don't see Florida going after and fixing the "time-share" industry. Our politicians are OWNED. How do you fight that kind of overgrowth without taking the whole system down?

Oh yeah im fully aware we were creating this mess long before Trump's 2nd term. I get that. But the average voter might not see it that way, and in fairness, Trump did run on fixing this. The problem is, some of this stuff goes so far beyond what the president can do in a such a quick time frame.

No maybe this is part of the correction, who knows.

That's the UNESCO "Heritage" influence on our history. I was shocked by the UH sanitization of Monticello last time we visited. One of our historical sites is now basically international property and it's history has been changed to reflect global sensibilities/opinions about this country. Many sites are this way now.

We stopped taking the guided tours at many historic sites to avoid the propaganda.

And it is EXACTLY the influence on modern "journalism" in this country and elsewhere. They're going to ram it down our throats while they have control of the broadcasts.

What has happened in the last year or 10 months? Approx 2 million people have fled the country that were here illegally. Safe to say many of those had car loans, guess what they aren't going to do if they did? They aren't going to pay off the loan.

Housing cost drop is likely true, because 1] The market was way overpriced and hot during Covid, I sold and bought a house during then. I couldn't get what I paid for my new house now, but I'm planning on living the rest of my life there, so eventually the market will catch up. My Old House will likely never be worth what I got for it in 2021, and certainly won't sell as fast.

In order to get balance back in our economy there's going to be a downturn in it, we're in it now. Be patient, the clouds will break.

Yeah I tend to agree or hope at least.

The only thing though, I'm not fully convinced those car loans were just illegals not paying the bill now. I believe delinquencies were on the rise even before Trump got into office, because it's my belief that a lot of low/middle-class families were already living pay check to paycheck.. and with the job market, inflation, etc.. some were not able to keep up with loan payments.

Now, thats on them for living beyond their means, I get that. And I also get that in every recession, some % of families are going to really get stung.

This right here. Be specific about what?

You wrote 2 sentences, one referring to a post in another thread, the other making an opinion claim that putin has no choice but to take all of Ukraine.

He refuted that opinion, and you deflect by saying be more specific?

Off to ignore you go. Enough garbage.
I'm so proud of you. What a power move. I couldn't ask for more. Thanks.

I think people have reached their limit after the last 4 years. Jobs are picking up GDP is through the roof. 26 should be a good year with the investments being made now.

Anyone looking forward to the midterms thinking it will be a referendum against Trump is hoping for more TDS Congressional crap and a logger jam impeachment BS. Those elected will either be nuts or will have to play to the nutty base of the Dems and we all will suffer for it, again.
It will only be against Trump if Dims win. What you say could/would happen is probably close to accurate though another impeachment is more waste of time & probably helps Pubs for 2028.

The web address of that link tells a lot.

These were all subprime car financing, meaning in some way the borrowers were not eligible for the best terms already. I'd be willing to bet the OTHER reason there were record high delinquency rates is that there were record high originations of these (sometimes, if not usually) garbage loans/leases. They are ALWAYS higher risk products that charge higher rates or fees up front to get into them, so the providers can try to make their money up front.

Making loans to illegals is automatically higher risk and likely non-conforming, so I would think most if not all financing for them was subprime.

That's my hope, that the work we are doing now, from deportation, to cutting the deficit, to trade deals.. will all help to turn things around. But I also want to point out that GDP doesn't mean much if the average American's dollar continues to weaken. And yes, continued growth of GDP can help fix that. But just saying, this all boils down to the American household being able to afford groceries, pay for helthcare costs, stay on top of bills. If GDP goes up, but that doesn't get fixed, then it won't matter.. at least not to the voters.

Most of it probably could be fixed or well on its way if it weren't for all of the road blocks from dims and rinos. Imagine if congress worked as many days as the average American and with the intent to actually fix problems plaguing the people as opposed to making themselves, family, and cohorts rich.

People can take a lot of stress when they can own a home. The Interest rate was 4.5% when Trump left office the 1st term. It's double that now and the FED wants him to fail so they won't bring it down. Interest rates are a MASSIVE problem with a lot of folks.

Our country is a lawless country where there's no accountability for the most powerful and the most evil.

Politicians routinely commit treason, routinely corrupt and criminal---nothing happens. Progressive judges are not held accountable for the psychos they keep releasing to harm the public either.

I see that the JAIL ACT that was presented in the House was to take away some of the judicial immunity these judges enjoy and then you see the oppostion of it is--

"Opposed by the ACLU and American Bar Association, who argue it erodes separation of powers and could lead to over-detention of minorities (echoing 8th Amendment challenges). Legal experts warn of Supreme Court scrutiny, citing precedents like Stump v. Sparkman (1978)."

ALWAYS! So we get progressive judges allowing blacks and illegals to routinely hurt white Americans with impunity and no one faces any accountability yet I'm told "white nationalism is the most dangerous thing ever."

The left is always pro criminal unless they can claim their political enemy is a criminal then magically, they're all about the "law."

A few issues with this.

While what Biden said was totally uncalled for, he also did it under the thought that he wasn't on a hot mic. Biden apologized to Doocy within an hour.

Trump regularly belittles and viciously attacks reporters and journalists and never apologizes.

Apples and oranges.
I agree with you to a certain extent. The better comparison to the Biden hot Mike incident would be to compare the MSM response to it with how the they treated W when he was caught on a hot Mike telling Chaney that a certain NY Times reporter was a “stupid a*****e”. They blasted him every day for two weeks straight…and kept bringing it up periodically after that for a loooooong time. Completely different treatment between the two very similar situations…which is par for the course. Surprised no one but that doesn’t make it right.

…which leads me to…

As for Trump, the MSM has been blasting him repeatedly since June 16th, 2015. Prior to that he was a media darling & adored by the Democrats. Once he put that “R” next to his name though…

First they called him a “joke” and “not a serious candidate” with no chance of winning. Then as it became apparent that he could actually beat Hillary and on into his first term as POTUS things ratcheted up significantly. Including spreading blatantly false information on a number of issues (pee tapes, Russian collusion, etc…). Comparisons to Hitler then turned into “literally Hitler”, “a threat to democracy”, etc…On and on and on.

So ima give him a pass if he slings some $**t right back at them. I don’t necessarily agree with his methods or word choices at times. But I understand.

At least he has the cajones to face the media on a daily basis and answer difficult questions from people that absolutely hate him. Your guy wouldn’t even take questions from anyone, friend or foe, that wasn’t on a pre approved list with loaded questions.

Name one MSM reporter/anchor/talking head that has publicly or privately apologized to Trump for any of the many false statements they have printed about him or aired on the “news”.

I always go back to the treatment of Sarah Palin and her daughter. Nearly 20 years ago, the left made the choice that pretty much anything is fair game. And I get that left voters and media pundits are not expected to have the EXACT same decorum as the president.. but I also really don't care at the same time.

As always, the left made the playbook, we are just following it.

SMH at these judges. This is Sliway's baby momma.

They continue to allow violent criminals to commit so much crime against everyone but then punish the person who defends themselves from it. Abandon all of the major cities at this point if you're a white male.

Republican politicians being outraged by being spied on are the same scum who backed the Patriot Act and all of the FISA issues. Johnson flipped on a dime the moment he got Speaker and they showed him what they had on him.

The NSA/intel agencies spying on citizens is cool. Palantir is cool though.

True about GDP but real wages are rising faster than inflation. The working man has seen his insurance go up and no one is worried about it. Im hoping the can help everyone just not paying premiums for the Obamacare people.
