It was cool them doing a game together (even though I don't care for Vitale much) but it felt like they barely even talked about the game.

This might be how the team has to play going forward. I know Pope wants them to shoot 30 threes a game but you can't do that with a team that can't shoot. Shoot maybe 15 or so a game...be good defensively and crash the boards like we did tonight and maybe more good things will happen moving forward.
I must admit. I didn't enjoy the two together. Too much of a slurp fest at times and they continually strayed from the game. I'm a Barkley fan and used to like Vitale many moons ago.

It was fun to see the team have success and be able to laugh and feel good about themselves tonight.This can only help them going forward.

Pope said they were going to focus on nothing but defense for a couple weeks. I'm guessing that's exactly what they did. When you're focusing on D for weeks, you get out of rhythm on offense. You are thinking about everything instead of using instinct until you integrate the two halves of the game. It slows you down because you have to break down to build up.
I think they'll continue to get better and have ups and downs from here.
One thing I think they need to do on offense imo is get into Rupp to practice more. Find a way. Totally different to shoot there under pressure than at the Kraft center. Lighting, background, and feel. This isn't the 2012 team, so they need every advantage and that place needs to feel like home.
Glad I got to watch this one, now that football is over for the Cats. Needed something to get me through til spring football

Hate to bring this back to reality, but how can someone go shoot a ton of people in a building on an Ivy League campus and hours later we don’t have a single camera image of the shooter? These campuses/buildings are FULL of cameras, yet this person got in, shot nearly a dozen people, and got out w/out a single camera catching any of it?

Really liked what we saw from Lowe too. He wasn't perfect by any means (still did too much 1v1 stuff) but he made some nice plays especially in the 2nd half.
