If you want to know one reason people are so obnoxious these days about politics, just read what they read. As an example, this “news” by CNN is filled with commentary language. Even the headline that suggests when the Dems threaten to shutdown the government it must be different than when the GOP has done so. Read this and try not to conclude who is at fault. You cannot. It is filled with triggering language.

Mitch didn't go that direction, I misremembered(?) and we are left with where we are at.

The original 2012 contract is extended with amendments, not a whole new document. The payable due at 60 days after dismissal ******** didn't start until the third extension in 2017.

In the words of an awe shucks poster, if you are interested:

^No real point other than at the time it appeared that Mitch was in the dark.

Would absolutely change zero direction.

This is one of those "it cost what it cost" deals. I also think every sec coach uses mark stoops to get a better salary. :ROFLMAO:

"They are paying Stoops $9 mil and you are paying me x... Really?"

Stoops making basically 3xs more than Vandys coach is a travesty.

No one would have said that five years ago. Had the landscape of college football not morphed dramatically, I think Stoops’ approach would have continued to show nice winning peaks every 2-4 years, but when the environment shifted, he tried to move on to a better NIL locale and the combination of the shift and his attempt to run really doomed us, I think. Vandy’s coach has handled the portal well and he greatly benefited when he acquired good parts from NM. I am not sure they look so good next year.

If you took 6 million away from stoops and added to NIL, UK may be more productive. I have to admit, I cared a lot more before NIL.

For years, birth defects have been on the rise in the U.K. because so many of their Pakistani community among other immigrants in England often marry their first cousins. Did the English decide enough was enough and steer back towards sanity and civilization...

Nope, of course not. Their National Health Service says marrying one's first cousin is really amazing.

"The NHS has been urged to apologize for publishing guidance extolling the benefits of first-cousin marriage despite the increased risk of birth defects..."

Hasn’t first cousin marriage been a historical part of Britain, at least with royals?

In the Bible, God tells us to “Fear Not” 365 times. You can take all the other commandments, add them all up, and the sum doesn’t come close to 365 times. Those of you that have a relationship with God need to remember this!!

So you reached out to independent chapters, of which there are thousands, and not the actual organization is sponsoring you. Got it.

Let’s get you on record here: has anyone affiliated with you agreed to compensate “influencers” to push you on social media, podcasts, or TV?

Did you receive permission from Turning Point USA to use their brand assets to advertise your self-organized campus tour?

I can go on, but let’s start there”

Losing Kirk was such a massive blow. Organic and skilled and it will be devoured by these plants as usual.

He did say "fear not" to those who were His faithful people. No doubt about that. Thanks for reminding everyone, as it's very important to remember.

There are, however, hundreds more "other commandments" than 365 and they are repeated in many places. Well over 500 "other commandments" actually, repeated multiple times. Some only once. The number of times a commandment is repeated does not give it more weight, as it is all ONE commandment, just as the Father and Son and Spirit and those who serve Him are one. Break one and you break all.

We also have to understand the difference between an exhortation and a commandment.

To fear is not to sin, though fear is not brought about by righteousness. God was encouraging His people with these words "Fear not," not giving them a commandment.

That said, who here among believers is fearful, except that they are fearful of the wrath of God? Don't mistake warning others as being fearful. Don't mistake those distrusting the words of others as being fearful. Don't mistake caution, discernment, and concern for the well being of others as fear. There are good, "God fearing" people on here that understand what that phrase means.

Thats why i used to love football. It is real-time, moving chess. It's all about matchups in schemes and personnel, depth, discipline, and timing. And brutal in more ways than 1. Almost any team can surprise you on any given day.

The Packers will be fine, so we all just need to enjoy the relative silence from Cheeseheads regarding their beloved team while we can. It's as golden as their helmets are yellow. :)

No. It's business. The Vandy coach signed a contract just like Stoops. What is a travesty is that the UK football program was underfunded and sucked so abysmally for decades that digging out from that abyss put us in this (temporary) situation.

Timing is everything. Vandy saved a ton of money for years not trying to compete, and then a great environment and circumstances came along for them to enjoy some football. A whipped/chained, neglected, and fearful dog performs quite differently under long term pressure than an average dog raised with care and good training does under occasional pressure.

One thing is sure. Those Vandy fans are enjoying their success while it's happening. It would truly be a travesty if they didn't.
