My father unleashed a torrent of obscenities when Cris Collinsworth caught a disputed pass down the sideline that set up a winning Florida FG in 1980. The Clown's jaw had to be picked up off the ground.

I met Collinsworth in Cincy one time in the late 2000's while standing in line at First Watch, and shared that story with him. He got a big kick out of it (of course), and picked up the tab for me and my wife. LOL

The Bluegrass Miracle though... THAT was when I really started to think that my Dad and I should start thinking about not attending games anymore. LOL The old man... well; I'd never seen him that dis-heartened.

In 2002 I was a student at UK, I was at every Kentucky home football game that year, but the Bluegrass Miracle.

I was at home in western Kentucky and was watching the game with my dad (who loves Kentucky football more than basketball, was a football season ticket holder from the 1970s until just a few years ago.)

When LSU scored, my dad didn't say a word, he walked out at the back door and wasn't seen for hours. He owned about 100 acres back then, I don't know where he went. His truck was still there, I asked him years later where he went and he couldn't remember haha. It was like he just walked out into the woods...despondent.

There is nothing in nature, that can induce a "fugue state" quite like Kentucky Football. There is science to back that up.

@cole@854 - Your dislike of Kentucky basketball is well documented on here. But, and maybe I'm mistaken here, I thought you were, at heart, a Kentucky Football fan. Yet you seem to almost relish in their lack of success. Please explain yourself. LOL (or set the record straight.)

Being a Cowboys, Yankees, UNC basketball fan, spawned during those teams' pinnacle of success, you seem to take the "easy way". That doesn't jibe with being a Kentucky Football fan. LOL ;)

At first, I was little mad you didn't give me a medal today, but then I remembered I already got the Kaplan award for excellence in mathematics.

Exactly. You are, to date, the ONLY recipient of the Fields Medal equivalent of a "Clownie". The solemnity of that is, well... it's pretty ****ing SOLEMN. :D:D

There is no higher honor, on the Political Forum, than a "Math Clownie"

Gumby has a whopping 26 followers. lol

I went back to look at something and came across this, I have no idea what Monday Nitro/Baller Cal/jload22/game se7en is talking about, but you have to remember 26 is a low number for him/her/they. He has had twice that many accounts/screennames just from the beginning of 2024 haha.

You can find him in the 'Lexington Bad Boys' thread in the paddock where him and prollywood battle it out in a competition of who is the least likely to ever have been laid.

Borrowed from CenturyCat/GYERO: UK Football, right NOW, has an all time .500 record. He framed that statement as a measure of the FUTILITY that IS our program.

Honestly? I was shocked, and somewhat pleasantly surprised that we're AT .500

Which is I guess, an even SADDER statement. LOL

I wonder if Trump would be interested in being UK's next athletic director? CFB playoffs within 3 years?

I wonder what the end of this season meeting between Trump and Stoops would be like? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

"He's a very low IQ football coach. A disgrace, really... " LOL

This link whether it's accurate or not contradicts the 500 record
It's actually below 500 according to this link.🤣🤣🤣

Had a great uncle that played for Kentucky in the 1920s. Not sure what years, hope he was on those 1928-1930 years.

15-6 (and two ties) in those 3 years. 6-1 in 1929

UK was killing it!

But we do have our 8 time National champion basketball Wildcats to discuss in those circles when we travel south 🤣🤣🤣
No one cares about basketball. Tenn has only two consensus NCs in football. 1951 and 1998, yet it's a religion. Before Kirby, UGA had one (1980). Same deal. Hell we own the fb series head to head against Arkansas, and its religion there.
