No offense, but why would a high quality, known quantity coach come here given the low institutional support football has? Will Stein.

That starts at the top - meaning the trustees or whatever they're called. Giving hoops everything they want first is never going to work. There just isn't enough left for football imo.Something has to give, the program needs a reboot badly.
i agree to a point. his growth has been fun to watch. it helps he has a couple of freshman receivers who can actually fight for the ball and make a play, unlike the other WRs who have dominated PT so far. My one knock on him is it seems he has a hitch in his throw, maybe drops his shoulder as he passes the ball. But i love how he is reading defenses, he seems to know and understand the offense. He is clearly the bright spot to the season.
well, in case you hadn't heard ... he played WR in high school.U mean Willie Cauley-Stein?
That's the issue right there. We're not a big program and can't be as attitudes are. We operate FB like a G5 program playing in the P1 league.I think Will Stein would be an absolute home run hire, but honestly, he's probably going to get offers from some big programs after this year, so he's probably out of our league. Doesn't mean you don't at least call him.
I never listen to them.Insult to injury to hear these announcers try to fill air time during an embarrassing blowout.
You give anyone inside too much credit.@ScrewDuke1 - I don't want Stoops fired before the season ends. You run the risk that UK starts playing out their ***, goes on a run, and Mitch might just be stupid enough to hire from within. That' just ASKING for trouble.
It isn't how lowly we're regarded by others. It's how low regard football has by UK.Kentucky could bring Vince Lombardi back from the dead and hire him as coach, and I don't think anyone in the SEC would care/lose any sleep over it. THAT is how lowly regarded we are.
They're protecting themselves from injuries.how fing embarrassing. mercy rule kneel down with so much on the time.
Take Corporal Lebaeu with you just in case of emergency or capture.Good suggestion. The quality of these waterproof maps is fantastic, there are no two ways about it. My point, which I didn't really explain very well, is that for my purposes, it's overkill. So, I'm just looking for a cheaper alternative.
I keep harping on waterproofing, but that is superfluous as well, because I'll be damned If I'm going to get out there in crap weather. Even the threat of it, and I'm staying home.
Don't forget, I'm Air Force and we don't, you know, DO that sort of thing. LOL. All I need is my map, my SILVA compass, perfect weather, some cucumber sandwiches on cocktail bread with the crusts cut off, a nice assortment of stuffed olives, maybe some pate', a mid-range Cali Chardonnay (easy on the Oak), and some macaroons to snack on, on the way back.
Just the essentials really. Stick to the basics.
He's no worse at football than anyone else in the last 40 years.Mitch Barnhart is as liable as anyone for how bad the program has been off and on for so many years.
I saw a promo on ESPN about a documentary on the Bluegrass Miracle, and our basketball team's huge comeback against LSU down there circa 1993? I'd like to see the basketball part but that football loss will stay with me forever. I've never watched a replay and never will.
Does anyone remember the LSU fan that ran on the field after LSU caught that Hail Mary? He was wearing like this purple and yellow "cow" costume. There was a picture of him in the Lexington paper the next day. Anyway, right AFTER that photo was snapped, some really really pissed off Kentucky fan just absolutely obliterated that gloating @SS Clown (oops!) Just vaporized the dude. I can't believe it didn't kill him.
I saw it happen, and somehow it helped. Very therapeutic. I wish I could find the guy that sent him into orbit, because I'd like to shake his hand and buy him a beer.
Unless we change coaches, there's no amount that should keep him here. Sorry state. You break the bank to keep Boley here. That kid looks like a Justin Herbert in the making.
Did you know that Robert Clary was Jewish and actually spent time in one of those German camps built for Jews. Some of the other Characters on that show were also Jewish and fled Germany at that time.Take Corporal Lebaeu with you just in case of emergency or capture.
Remember him posting fake W2s to claim how much money he made? What a loser lol. At least you didn't call Clarence Thomas the N word in this post.
On the subject of the football announcers, at one point in their ramblings they said that under Stoops UK has only come back one time to win when getting behind by at least 2 touchdowns. They said that his offenses are not built to come from behind. Instead, they are built to stay with the other teams scoring or something to that effect.
If true, after a few years of failing because of this strategy, should you not change it up and try something different?
Remembering Colts Legend Mike Curtis Laying Out a Fan Who Ran on the Field During a GameMy buddy was there in the 10th row in the end zone where they scored the winning td. He was so p*ssed off when saw the fans going onto the field before the last play that he started down toward the field yelling at them. Told the person he went to the game with that he thought they'd score because it looked like the players were already celebrating as well. Didn't stop him from being p*ssed afterwards, though. He saw the guy in the cow suit and went down on the field with plans to waterboy him. He's very fortunate that someone else did it before he got there. He was still in football shape back then and wasn't to be messed with.
(I wanted to do the same thing.)

How does an inactive virus cause the flu? People have reactions to flu shots. Doesn't make those reactions cases of the flu.The CDC flu data shows that the flu shot and resulting shedding is more than likely the cause of many "flu" cases.
Well yea. The shots are scheduled as the season starts. The spikes also tend to occur after jab campaigns get underway,
The strains they put in the shots are the strains expected the next season. So yea, there's a correlation - meaning they selected the correct strains to put in the shots. Smart science.and would likely be seen initially after health care providers get their mandated ones, which is occurring from this past week over the next two weeks. If it's read carefully, you can see increases in cases with the exact strains they put in them.
Yes, sir, some very interesting reading about that cast. Yes, even beyond Bob Crane's story. Good stuffDid you know that Robert Clary was Jewish and actually spent time in one of those German camps built for Jews. Some of the other Characters on that show were also Jewish and fled Germany at that time.
No, I meant that post to go with the Mike Curtis story/video I posted. You should watch the video.the cow guy? You?![]()
What sticks out to me were the UK students tearing down the goal posts at the end opposite of where LSU was still trying to get to the end zone. Shows how much they know about the sport.I saw a promo on ESPN about a documentary on the Bluegrass Miracle, and our basketball team's huge comeback against LSU down there circa 1993? Data source for that please? As is, I don't believe it.You can, actually. You can shed it massively also while only having mild symptoms after getting one.
I haven't has a reaction in at least 20 years & before that, just a bump on my arm. And I haven' had flu in 25+ years. In fact, (and you probably know this) they would say your shot wasn't "effective" by their definitions if you didn't have some flu type of reaction to it.
BS.Why do they say that flu symptoms after admin of a flu jab is effective? The truth is that if you don't have that reaction, you can't spread the dis ease that drives their profits every year.
Can't recall the last time I didn't have one. Maybe 50 years.I have not had a shot since retiring in July of 97.
I know. Might have done better at FB.well, in case you hadn't heard ... he played WR in high school.
I have never seen anything like this lately, Kentucky football

FIL was a X-ray tech in mobile hospital (45th Evacuation Hospital) that treated Buchenwald survivors there. He brought back horrific photos.Did you ever watch a documentary or read about what happened at Dachau when the Americans liberated it?
It got dark, and I mean it got dark FAST.
The GI's were in a mood to begin with, and then the liberated prisoners started inciting (to be clear, I'm NOT criticizing them for that) and the mob mentality got a foothold, and didn't look back...
It was pretty much "not spoken of" after that. No prosecutions etc. My impression is that the higher ups didn't want to touch it with a ten foot pole.
Army made shots mandatory every year. Not to mention every time we went somewhere (deployed or training) we were pin cushioned full of shots. Can't recall the last time I didn't have one. Maybe 50 years.
The problem with that is if you took a poll of UK fans 80% would say fund basketball over football. That starts at the top - meaning the trustees or whatever they're called. Giving hoops everything they want first is never going to work. There just isn't enough left for football imo.
I dont take them anymore, but when we graduated from cop school and were being deployed to various places across the water, it was a nice sunny day. They set up outside and there was a huge line of us getting shots. They had these gun like things and every few steps, someone would jab you in the arm. I dont know how many shots there was or what they were for. It was walk the line and shut up.Army made shots mandatory every year. Not to mention every time we went somewhere (deployed or training) we were pin cushioned full of shots.
