Polk's Wheeler Sets State Record

Polk County's Jamal Wheeler set a new state record for career kick return td's with an 85 yard return in the first half against Thomasville for the 8th of his career. He broke the record set by Charles Johnston of Eastern NC School of the Deaf from 1988-1991. His 8th return is also second all time nationally with the national record of 9 being held by Trevor Mote of Arizona. Congratulations to Wheeler on a new state mark defiantly a silver lining in a mostly disappointing season overall for the Wolverine Senior.

So far A&T the only offer I have heard from him but hopeful he gets some more looks. a tremendous athlete that could play several positions at the next level especially gifted in space. It sometimes difficult for kids at the small schools to get the looks they deserve but somebody somewhere will be glad to have him on there team.
