Whoever said they didn't want Cam back (and the poll said there are 6 of you) aren't thinking clearly or are just plain dumb. He would be a sophmore former 5 star high school all american and would hopefully be a top 1 to 3 pick in the draft next year and a former starter on the # 1 team in the country from 2019. This board is nuts right now. And it’s not just one or two posters. I haven’t been around as long as many people here have, but I don’t remember there being so many people at each other’s throats when it’s not even a game day thread.....it’s like WOW in here right now!!
It’s crazy!!! That’s one of a few reasons why I haven’t even been posting much.
Overall this board is pretty level headed. But some people can't handle themselves after a loss. And some people can't believe that someone else has a different opinion of why they lost.
That and the ongoing battles of yay or nay on the OAD topic.
I do most of my bickering on the national board. Rather argue with fans of other programs than our own.

We made the Elite 8. Not great, but still good. we've advanced further than the Tar Heels 2 years straight. The guy we really need back is Tre. Cam would be great but he's a lottery pick for Pete's sake. Lottery picks don't come back.
I would love to get Tre back. Sometimes I think we have a real chance and other times I think there’s no way. I really can’t get a good feel for how realistic it is. To me, he is not NBA ready at all, but if they will draft and pay him, why not? We’ll see I guess.

We haven't cornered the market on spoiled, entitled fans, but we sure have some. The answer to the question (even though, as OP and many others have said, it is NEVER going to happen) is an unquestioned 100% yes. No conditions or qualifications, just a resounding yes. We were lucky to get him the first time, and would be doubly lucky to have him again.

That to me is kind of the epitome of an entitled post. "We shouldn't settle" - what does that even mean? Don't forget that you (just like me and everyone else here) are absolutely nobody. We have no way to alter any outcomes, so we don't settle or not settle for anything. We all want them to win, and burning people down because they didn't and you didn't get your way does not make you a better fan.
The idea to me that is silly is the notion that there are only two ways to be a Duke fan in this instance: either to be disgusted at the loss and take subtle (and not so subtle) jabs at the coaches and players, or that you are okay with losing. Those aren't the only two options, I assure you. This loss hurts, but it isn't going to make me a pouty child stopping my foot.
I thought we had a good year. We relied too much on two guys but we had the best two guys in the country. We had some bad luck which may have cost us. I don't think Tre was the same after his shoulder and Jack and Marquis are guys that need to be 100 percent to be effective. Cam was also not 100 percent at the end. Not excuses but we did have some bad luck this season. Could have been better but could have been worse as well. Now I'm just praying we get Tre back, but I get it if he goes.
