Leigh, Mercer, Lville blow out, nova blow out, Arizona blow out
The two first rounders sucked. There is no disagreement here.
The Villanova game wasn't in this decade. Even still, we returned a lot of those guys the following year and won a title. I'm not mad at that.
2011's title aspirations pretty much went down with Kyrie. They were pretty much nailed shut when Coach K tried to reincorporate him into the lineup. Again, I'm not mad at that because he did right by the player.
As far as the game itself, Arizona picked up the momentum at the end of the first half and never relinquished it. Win or lose, our tournament was over two days later because Kemba Walker wasn't letting UConn lose that year. It became obvious during the Big East tournament the 2011 Huskies were a team of destiny. It is hard for me to sit around eight years later and be embarrassed about that game, or really even think about it once I put it in context.
Finally, the Louisville game was a freak game with the Kevin Ware injury. It deflated the game and his team rallied around him and steamrolled us. That Louisville team won the title and were weren't even a top 5 team, so I don't consider that an embarrassment.
Reality is, you attempted to negate all the elite accomplishments I listed in this decade by pointing to five losses, three of which took place in tournaments where were not anywhere close to championship caliber teams.
