Obviously it'll be Rutgers. Probably close to 90% especially since Miami fans don't care about this game.

I don’t even see this being remotely close. I expect us to bring at least two, possibly three times more than Miami.

They do not have a huge alumni base
Their fans from South Florida have no interest in coming out for this game, leaving beautiful upper 70s weather for torturous Northeast, winter weather, for a game in a baseball stadium in the Bronx

Meanwhile, we haven’t been to a bowl game in 10 years and this is right in our backyard

I can see 20,000 for RU, 15,000 for Miami, and 5,000-10,000 neutral. So about 40,000 - 45,000 total. Final numbers will be impacted by the weather.
Lou,
Check your math.
Yankee Stadium holds 52,000. Levels 100 & 200 hold 30,000. These are the only levels for Sale. As of today there are still thousands of seats for Sale in these levels at Ticketmaster. A actual crowd of 32,000 would be a nice showing for this Bowl.
Also you are absolutely delusional and out of your mind if you think 15,000 Miami fans are showing up.

Who wants to go to 30-40 degree weather location when you‘re in 70-80 degree ?
Well... I keep my house at 65F all winter, except when I have older folks visiting. We like it cool here. It encourages "snuggling".

Whereas if I lived in FL, I'd go to the bowl game just to get the hell out of FL, which is flat and boring and way too hot most of the timed. And it has alligators and terrible drivers. Has snakes everywhere too, both the human and animal kinds.

So for me, the question would be more like who wants to fight NYC-area traffic to sit in 30-40 degree weather and get a stiff neck while craning it to watch the game from too far away in hard and uncomfortable seats versus lounging in a comfy chair in balmy 65 degree "weather" in their family room? To which the answer is: not me.

Perhaps I'll even build a fire for the game, so I can roast marshmallows. I might nibble filet mignon bites instead of a cold toxic hotdog for roughly the same price. I can have a nice glass of 18 or 21 year scotch instead of an overpriced luke-warm watered down beer, also for roughly the same price.

Hey @letitrip2. Here's another chance to insult me. Make it a good one, try to be creative this time. 😉

I mean, if you're pretty sure you're out of your mind, but you're delusional, does it mean that you're not actually out of your mind?

Miami has never been a traveling fanbase. I doubt that they've ever taken 15,000 fans to a bowl any further away than the Orange Bowl.

Out of your mind could be temporary….. delusional..not so good.
I would think both could be temporary states.

For instance, I think (and fervently hope) that the mental states of some of our fans in the various game-threads is just a temporary thing. Because it's pretty clear that many fans are totally out of their minds during the game.

And people who drink too much can quickly become delusional, but once they sober up, are not so delusional.

They also don't turn out when the team isn't ranked in the Top 10. Even in Florida.

ummmm, me, especially if there might be snow involved, but I'll also take 20F in NJ over any temp in Florida every day. Florida just sucks.
I wouldn't say it "sucks" but, for most of the things I like doing, it's less than ideal. Visiting in winter is okay, though. I need 4 distinct seasons.

Summers in FL are way too hot and humid. Fall is a nonstop hurricane watch - would get old after a while. Spring and winter are okay. But the place topographically boring. I'd go insane with all the endless flatness.

It's still nearly 3 weeks out. Most of our fans (including 90% of the people I know) haven't even come close to purchasing their tickets yet and a good # will wait to see how the weather is looking. 300's will eventually open up (****, they were open for Iowa State). RU has sold out Delta and Audi as well. One step at a time. Agree, however, that Lou is being a tad too optimistic here

Yes, we have 18 days to the Bowl. I am sure many might be waiting to see the weather forecast for the Game. Fully expected the few hundred Audi and Delta seats would sell out quickly.
Would be very very happy if we get 32k or so in the Stadium. Go RU!

Forget Miami, Syracuse will have the most fans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They own NYC don't they(???) and going south for the winter means to the City if you live in Syracuse 😁

Actually that's a great idea! We should be marketing the game up on the Frozen Tundra. We could offer it as a winter vacation to a warmer clime in which they'll have a chance to watch a couple of real football teams.

You're forgetting the giant insects and even larger old people who drive slow and badly.

Fact: you can always find a way to get cooled off even Florida. It is almost impossible to do the same in cold climates.

It's actually quite easy to get cooled off in cold climates, lol...

Nobody would live in Florida if it weren't for AC, as it's disgustingly hot and humid for 6+ months out of the year. I can understand people who hate the cold and snow going to FL for our winter, but have no idea how anyone can live there year round (like my dad, lol).

Agree - there’s a reason people nobody comes north to retire
[/QUOTE]

Do you consider Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine the north? They have active tetirement communities
