I don't enjoy mediocrity. You obviously enjoy being a pessimistic person. I'm not. I am enjoying the way. This team is fighting to turn the season around. Yes we are Kentucky. We have been over 100 years with ups and down to that whole time but we've always persevered. Pope didn't bring this program down it was most recently dragged down by Cal. last year was the first bright spot we had in five years and I agree it's not to the pinnacle we were at, but we've always shown we'll get back to it.

I want Pope to succeed while hes coaching here but make no mistake hes not a good coach or even near UK level hes just not. Tubby was better than Pope and Tubby was extremely overrated as a coach. I wish he was good hes a great guy and a UK guy but hes not. Maybe yall see something I just dont bit I dont see a breakthrough of us getting back to being a powerhouse while Pope is here.
Is that your analysis Bro? That Pope just can't coach at all? Because I think its Hogwash. The guy put together a roster that is a little mismatched. They then suffered several key injuries. All that considered, he is doing a heck of a job. He is gonna be here a long time my guy, at least 5 years IMO. Wait and see
It’s my analysis as well. We might sneak into the tournament this year as a 7-9 seed and not sure how next year will turn out to be much better. We are quickly losing status as a top notch program and these substandard seasons aren’t helping us in that regard. I had hope that Pope would be the guy, I really thought he would be, but he’s not, no matter how much I wish he were, he’s just not. He is going to be a worse version of Tubby Smith (L.O.D. Poster was spot on), god help us if he stays as long as smith did.
Pretty much. Pope can’t recruit. That’s my biggest issue. The program has slipped big time in just 6 seasons. Guys were running around naked after beating St. john’s and Indiana. It’s almost surreal to watch. This season so far, has been a total failure and bust.
If this is consensus of UK fans then things are worse than I thought for future. Im certain all SEC rival, UL, Duke, Kansas, UNC fans whole heartily agree with you though.
