We have athletes. We don’t have BASKETBALL players. We don’t flow: we aren’t smooth. We look like a football team playing pickup ball at the park. We have the ugliest shooting team in America and by that I don’t mean percentages just purely the way it looks.

Arkansas was already an elite eight sweet sixteen team. We made ourself get back to the sweet sixteen. Nobody is worried about BYU. I’m talking **** but come on man.

I have felt this way since he was hired. Good guy, not a great recruiter or coach. Can't take 30- 35 3's a game when you can't make any. Mo and Otega shouldn't be out there jacking them up, that is not their game. Need to play inside out. Mich. State has been physical as heck with us and we back down.

9-16 was the worst, but, I agree, this is unwatchable. These dudes don’t deserve to wear the uniform.

NIL has destroyed college sports anyway. It doesn’t matter anymore.

He doesn't have to be a good coach (and he isn't). The talent he can bring helps mask a lot of deficiencies. If that talent can somehow get to the tourney, they're always a threat regardless of seed. Of course, they're also a threat to lose in the first round.

Scheyer is in a similar mold but better coach than Cal. People need to stop sleeping on Scheyer, he's had 1 EE, 1 FF already, we would be happy with those results.

Getting talent is part of the job. Full stop. This team does not have the type of talent (w/ a few exceptions) that deserves to play rotational minutes on the Kentucky MBB team.

For a supposedly smart guy, he says dumb things. Worst is bragging about the NIL spending (on this **** roster) -- became a double edged sword. Win, it's expected, lose, you're a laughingstock.

I read through a couple of posts with that thought, and I agree completely. Why brag that you spent the most? You don't see the Dodgers owners saying those types of things.

I am alarmed on Pope.. but there are things holding us back beyond him.

Pope would basically have to rid his staff of all coaches and have the whole team transfer out to rid the stench of the likely turmoil that is churning among our program. Problem is that takes more than one year and I’m not sure he should be given another chance, certainly not two or three more to redeem himself in that scenario.

Kentucky can’t really afford to deal with more years like this. Fans won’t accept it. Boosters won’t hand out more money if they think this is the result. We need a clean break and a proven winner installed. Even if it ends up being someone experimental like Frank Vogel, they have to prove they’re capable of getting to the top.
