Sorry you’re moving the goal post or forgetting what the discussion was even about. This has nothing to do with the last 7 games which has been mostly against the bottom of the SEC, but the Arkansas game only. Yes the majority of the board was wrong about the game (focus now, I am still talking about just the Arkansas game) and we were all pleasantly surprised. Until the team that showed up at Arkansas starts showing up on a consistent basis (as of now I’d settle for just a 2nd time) we will remain skeptical of a turn around and that Pope is not need the right man for the job. At this moment he’s still on the outside looking in relatively speaking in that regard with the fanbase.

Another dope who has to use the troll word (what a little effing nerd) because you can’t discuss basketball. Maybe you seem to forget that during those 7 games we didn’t exactly play inspiring basketball, Arkansas game aside (best complete game of the year. Won 2 games we had to come from way behind, and got completely blown out in another. That’s 3 of the other 6 games. We started out so poorly against Ms state the boo birds came out in Rupp (first time ever). So yes I stand by what I said. We need to see more consistent play from this team. Don’t bother countering because you’re a dork with zero basketball knowledge. Just stay with your dungeons and dragons games.

I’ve never seen Deadwood, I need to watch that. I’ve recently watched every season of the sopranos again. I rarely watch live tv anymore other than basketball and football games.

Lowe and Kam clearly made this team worse. The rotations were a mess, Oweh and Chandler were way worse, they’ve grown leaps and bounds due to a shorter roster that was forced on Pope. When those 2 were part of this rotation Pope was literally, literally crying and wanting to kill himself at the podium. They go out, the team improved.

what about JQ!!!

JQ took 2 million dollars from Pope to sit the bench day 1. He’s never been part of this roster. Can’t count a guy who was never actually able to contribute from the moment he was recruited. Out of the few games he played, half of that he was literally unplayable.

I’m wondering if we have any more excuses.

I agree that Pope will be here for a minimum of three years, with no chance that he will be fired or step down. That said, I disagree with the remainder of your post. While it's true that he needs the "right guys,' he has shown little ability to recruit top level talent. I also disagree with the assertion that he has "shown over and over the he can coach.' He came to UK as a journeyman coach who averaged around 12 loses a season and no NCAA wins. Pope was, at best, an average coach who did not possess the credentials to coach at a blue blood school. I'm not mad at Pope. The blame falls entirely on Mitch for making a hiring decision that showed incredibly bad judgment. We will have to tolerate mediocrity until Mitch retires and a new AD can chart a path back to respectability.

Adversity is a foreign word to many of these "give ups". They just eat another king don at the first sign of having to work through something difficult and then roll over and take a nap.
