Niko Sahakian will likely be pretty tough coming off redshirt for Meatchicken.

Any truth that the Frost brothers are possibly looking? Could make a lot of sense lineup wise. One thing to remember is Bailey has a redshirt still and people said he was wanting to use it this past year so there is flexibility.

He was another guy that was on my initial list at 165 before I scrubbed it. His family is all in the OKC area and while there is a log jam at 157/165, 174 is going to be wide open after next season. Routledge is an inch or two taller than Lockett and can probably hold the extra weight on his frame better.

If he jumps in the portal, I would love to get him in the room though. The dude took Nicco Ruiz down to the wire this year and he's got a ton of potential.

He was quick twitch with a great double. Can that be taught to anyone? Was JB top game in folkstyle something that people were impressed by?
When Ed Ruth became a coach everyone was so excited and what he was able to do was because of his body type and athletic abilities those things aren't things that are teachable to others.

You can't teach the way Bael or his protege wrestled either, but they seem to have had some success at coaching, unfortunately.

Is the kid that transferred from Minny still on their roster? I don’t see him breaking into the lineup

My thoughts

We don’t have quality backups at a lot of weights.
We constantly have injuries
We rarely get pins.
We rarely get back points. We ride just for the sake of riding and not to try and turn guys.
We seem to get out scrambled a lot.
We seem to rely on the portal as opposed to recruiting of late. I know we have a nice class coming in 27 but that could change. I hope not.
We seem to wrestle not to lose instead of wrestling to win in tournaments.

I just don’t see the current staff, as is, getting things turned around.

So really, we peaked in December when we were essentially predicted to tie for 2nd and score 108.. MSU will not be happy to know this.

Sports like soccer, basketball, baseball, Lacrosse volleyball, gymnastics etc.... brings in a whole new "problem" in my opinion(which by the way is almost 100% correct and WAY ahead of most others!!!) With POS ncaa having NO idea what in hell they are doing!!! Soooo much so that the damn government is now getting involved!!!!

You can have ANY person with B1G $$$$ BUY championships(may sound familiar TWOOO F*** st wanna be bandwagon jack wad fans!?!?) What is to stop someone from offering $$$$ to athletes from other countries to come here and play college sports?

Henckel was 20 in October so he will be 25 as a 5th year guy . And kem was at Iowa 7 years . So he wasn't old for his graduating class. So hopefully you keep that energy down the road

I asked how old he was!!! <<<<MEANING-I do not know the answer!!! POINT is, where is POS ncaa taking college sports???? IF you do not get it???? You never will!!! College sports at least in POS ncaa, has to be FIXED and soon!!! Otherwise it will slide into hell and FAST!!!!

This years POS ncaas were the best in MANY years. A LOT of story lines/ upsets/ kids "coming out of nowhere" to make runs etc....

Being an IOWA fan, this portal BS is kinda fun!?!?!? BUTTs- for skools like Stanford, it may suck B1G time!!!! There was pretty good skool representation on the podium this year. Columbia, American, AIR FORCE, etc.... <<<< THAT is GOOD for the sport!!!

The more it gets away from this^^^^^ The worse it gets!!! Stanford ONLY a few years back, was losing the program!!! Luckily it was saved and they had a GR8 tournament!!! Coach just left, we shall see if any wrestlers leave???

Thing is, what keeps programs alive IF they in reality are just "feeder programs" for the ELITE!!!!!
