The comments are worth the read. The understanding of geography is hilarious. This could be due to the TV shows and movies that are based in the south. There was one awhile back about a cop in Memphis and they are going to Jackson and New Orleans like it's nothing. The Grisham movies act like the next major town is just down the block. People that live in the Northeast or California just don't understand the distance between things. I recently visit my old stomping grounds on Long Island and it was amazing to me how close all the places from my childhood are to each other. They take as long to get from one to the other due to traffic concentration though. So in MS where you can go 150 miles away in 2 hours, you can go 60 miles at good parts of the day in that time frame.

The comments are loony toons. "Too many tornadoes!" "Its a college town so it's too liberal!" "Too many blacks!" "I once visited Hattiesburg and it sucked. Starkville is dangerously close to Hattiesburg!"
