According to his twitter account, 1A All-State WR/DB Edrith Gatling has transferred to Northeastern from Perquimans High. If true, he adds to an already explosive NE unit of skill guys along with All-State defensive lineman/linebackers Kaevon Freshwater and Jamison Fletcher. This team could be scary good.

It dont matter how much talent you have. It will only get you so far. At some point you have to be able to make adjustments. NE found that out the 1st time they played Reidsville in the State Championship.
Yeah I agree but I'll leave that up to their coaching staff. I'm just a retired guy that loves football..no dog in the fight. I just like what I saw this summer from them and adding that piece could be fun to watch. They are really the only team close to where I live that don't mind tossing the ball around a bit.

Im sure NE will be solid once again. Watched a few highlights of their Jamboree look athletic and fast per usual. Of course big #4 Freshwater is still there and i see one of their coaches taking major offense to them not being mentioned in a couple of preseason polls and rankings.......probably will be the same NE story may lose a couple early ones to Rocky Mount or JH Rose....then some random NE poster will come up here calling for Antonio Moore's job etc they will get hot and be one of the final.four teams in the east more than likely and of course Goob will make his return just in time lol.
