Possible Germans, but this is the **** that pisses me off the most:

It is one thing to be a team that plays with no heart... but it is another thing to be a team that plays with no heart on the field and consistently takes shots at opponents in the media. This quote was talked about today during the broadcast:

Broomfield on NW RB Venric Mark (cont.) "If he was in SEC he would be just another player."

Broomfield on NW RB Venric Mark: "He don't look like a Big Ten player. When a guy is fast in Big Ten he stands out."

Broomfield on SEC vs. Big Ten: "Look at the past. Look at the track record and whatever conclusion you come to, that's what you can make."

What Broomfield SHOULD have said...

"Mark is a great playmaker for them. He will be very tough to defend."

"The Big 10 is a deep conference, but all I'm worried about is our game against Northwestern."

It may not be much... and some of you take this kind of thing as "SWAG," but here's the harsh reality: IT IS ONLY SWAG WHEN YOU BACK THESE KIND OF STATEMENTS UP ON THE FIELD. Period. We consistently put ourselves at a disadvantage when we say **** like this in the media, but not only that, we play like we didn't care to roll out of bed that morning. Geez, Mullen... can we cut this kind of crap out of the media??? The #webelieve thing was ok, but the shots at Ole Miss our players made didn't help at all... and we continue to do this and look like fools.

Along the same lines, what did Mullen say to Fitzgerald at the end. It looked like he hugged him twice, then came back and hugged him again. then fitzgerald was like, 'wow'. Wasn't sure what that was all about.

I wasn't a huge fan of Mullen doing it at first, but it seemed to give our guys confidence, so I tolerated it. But now, it doesn't... we play lethargic and when we talk **** and act like we don't give a **** on the field, we look like idiots.

They're pretty good friends. Probably promising to have beers.
Then, Mullen came back and said "I"m buying".

Broom was probably baited. Reporters are dying for players to say stuff like that. The reporter probably went on a 5 minute tirade about how much better the SEC is compared to the B1G. Then asked Broom to comment on that and he did.

Yeah, that pissed me off when I first saw it a couple of weeks ago. What the hell has this team done all year for anyone on it to be talking trash?

No problem with the comments. Everybody else was thinking it. He actually had the guts to say it. It's not like we've never taped Denzel Kimdeechee's jersey to the weight room floor.

The quote is better than what I had originally heard. ESPN took it out of context: Broomfield on NW RB Venric Mark: "He don't look like a Big Ten player. When a guy is fast in Big Ten he stands out." ESPN used it to say that a fast player is just another player in the SEC.

WHy is it the collapse always seems to come in the second half? Except for Bama and A&M, we hung with every loss until halftime, and then imploded. No energy? No adjustments? No depth? All three? I don't think it's depth, because we certainly have more depth than OM who has to keep the same players on the filed the entire game. What gives? And I agree on dropping the smack until we can walk the walk. That starts at the top though.
