Bo had Barrett Sallee on just after 9. Bo leads into a discussion of what SEC coaches are on the hot seat and, of course, identifies Dooley and Joker. Bo then goes on to make a case that Chizik's seat will be getting warm with another 7-5 season, which is a very real possibility.
While I thought I heard Sallee's head explode in the background, Sallee argues that most reasonable Auburn fans do not expect anything more than 7-5 or 8-4 at best this year and that Chizik will be safe as long as Auburn is "competitive."
Granted, Sallee knows more Auburn fans than I, but none of the Auburn fans I know are going to sit back and accept 7-5 seasons while Saban is winning 10+ games a year and more times than not has Bama in NC contention.
I know this has been discussed ad nauseum here, but you pull out Cam Newton's season and Chizik is a very average coach. Anyway, I about spit out my coffee when Bounds said Chizik's seat would be getting warm this upcoming season during an interview with Sallee and in light of Sallee recently ranking Chizik as the 3rd or 4thbest (cant remember which)coach in the SEC.
