We sat in the Arkansas section (A) and had a great time.
Wanted to give my opinion on the game atmosphere and see what other hog fans that were there thought.
1. There stadium is still very unimpressive. My wife who is an MSU alum and been to plenty of games at RRS said "Our stadium looks so small" when talking about Davis Wade.
2. There jumbotron is sweet. Is it time to put ours up in a yard sale and upgrade? I kid but it is nice.
Most importantly: MSU Stadium officials or whoever does a much better job keeping the fans pumped and into the game. The music is better, what they do pregame, during timeouts, halftime, etc was all about getting the fans on their feat, loud and excited. It was all newer rock and hip hop type music but it was done right. They do not cater to the blue hairs or those that think Pat Boone rocks. It was electric in there, may be the best all around atmoshpere I have ever experienced with or without cowbells. Hell even there commercials on the jumbotron were better. During pregame warmups they play lots of clips of past MSU football games and clips from lots of other sports. I really enjoyed the overall experience even though it was a hostile envrinoment.
It is a testament to our team that they were able to pull out the win in this environment. I'm out of town so haven't read what the players said about it, but I was at the GA game, and this crowd was louder and better than the other Bulldogs to the east and this had to be a toughter place to play. Maybe the toughest all year.
If a UA official wants to improve our stadium experience all they have to do is go to one game at MSU. It pains me to say that but it's true in my opinion and it is embarrassing that in this regard this cowtown school does better than the UofA. We have one of the best on campus stadiums in the country time to have an experience and atmosphere to match.
So what did you others that were at the game think? How did it appear on TV? Did the commentators talk about it?</div><div class="post" id="msg_5641738" style="width: 823px; overflow-x: auto; overflow-y: auto; line-height: 1.3em; margin-top: 0.7em; padding-top: 0.7em; border-top-style: solid; border-top-width: 1px; border-top-color: rgb(136, 136, 136); ">
