Before I begin to cut loose I'd like to say I purposely waited till the day after to post anything. I didn't want to wait a week or a few days as I feel the sting would be a little too numb for my taste. I don't want to comment after a "fresh wound" but rather after it's "dressed" and attention has been paid to "it". But if ANYBODY on this board is tweeting players after the game telling them ANYTHING besides "I appreciate your contribution" I have a message for you.... YOU SUCK AT LIFE! If you want to blame somebody blame the coaching staff....they get paid for putting a rattled QB in a situation where he is visibly shaken. Or a LB who was in the wrong set and got caught on the field side but should've been on the boundary side or a CB who has given EVERYTHING he had including coming back to help us get further instead of jumping to the money. These are KIDS plain and simple and most of them won't play at the next level and deserve better treatment then what they got after the game. I have kids and one in particular who is a damned good OL and if he misses a block and I hear somebody's daddy who doesn't even play get after my kid it drives me crazy! But for it to be in a public venue like twitter or facebook you really need to check your priorities in life. You people bashed tsun for doing that to Bolden but you do the same crap. What is wrong with you people.

Now I'd like to discuss the game. We have a serious problem here that needs some attention by our AD, lack of energy and enthusiasm by our (of all people) HC. I don't want him to be a cheerleader but for Jesus sake show some life out there. Show that you care while on the field! I remember when we were playing Middle Tenn and he was jumping on EVERYBODY! Where did that guy go? He was snatching on Wilson, cursing out Les, jumping on Day and Siddoway....where did he go? Let me tell you a little secret your players take on the mentality of their HC. There's a reason Vandy is always hype....it's Franklin's personality. Our guys are flat because their HC is flat. Stricklin needs to address this issue or find somebody else. Because this has been a cancer for a while now. I haven't seen him fired up since the MT game.

I said it before and I'll say it again. We will not be successful in a pass spear unless we get anothe OC and Mullen allows him to impliment his system. Our "passing offense" is intermediate at best. Crap my passing game has more advanced that this. The routes are all on the 2nd level and are easily defended with the right personnel grouping. This is a glaring problem and if it does not get attention Tyler will NOT be successful here! I don't care what kind of passing stars he puts up he WON'T beat any team who has a decent DC. If it's not addressed we will go 4-8 or 5-7 next year.

Dan left Tyler in the game and his negative play infected the entire offense. Let me reiterate this again....it wasn't Tyler's fault he wasn't ready or that it got that far out of control....it's Dan's fault. Dan allowed this to get out of control. Mike Riley of Oregon St did the same freakin thing in their game. He stayed with Vaz till it was too late for them to win and he continually entrenched them deeper and deeper. That's a coaching mistake not a players. Any coaches job on any level in any sport can be broken down to one simple task. Your job as a coach is to "prepare and place the player for an opportunity for success". Some times that is drills, reps in practice, film etc...etc..Tyler was not prepared for success in this game and Dan knows it.

Our OL was hit or miss the entire game. Especially the interior which is supposed to be our strength. Day and Malone/Smith were down right pitiful on some of their double teams. Gabe was slow to pull and his footwork was terrible. Again a coaching problem that needs to addressed. But then again I know Heavesy has preached this sometimes they JUST don't do it.

Defensively we are going to have some controversy in the off season with who is going to call the defensive plays. I think that Geoff did a good job. But not great. But I hope Chris stays here though.

Other than Dan's energy this is the big thing we need to change:

I said it before and I'll say it again. We will not be successful in a pass spear unless we get anothe OC and Mullen allows him to impliment his system. Our "passing offense" is intermediate at best. Crap my passing game has more advanced that this. The routes are all on the 2nd level and are easily defended with the right personnel grouping. This is a glaring problem and if it does not get attention Tyler will NOT be successful here! I don't care what kind of passing stars he puts up he WON'T beat any team who has a decent DC. If it's not addressed we will go 4-8 or 5-7 next year.

It's pretty clear our passing offense is really behind a lot of other teams that have good passing QB's. We don't utilize the good matchups for us and our route trees don't seem very complex. For example, how many quick slants, pick plays, deep fades, even screens do you see? Not many - most of our completions come on hitches and crossing routes, the later of which take time to develop. Now part of this is on Tyler too and he seems slow to read the defense, holds the ball too long and really needs to improve pocket presence.

Assuming Smith shows up on campus I think our receiving corps has some legit weapons that can win their matchups. Morrow has the height advantage, ROJO is physical, Tubby and Holloway are super quick. Fred is supposed to be a great route runner and the JUCO guys have some talent. Malcolm Johnson should be able to beat a LB most of the time and probably has the best hands on the team. perkins is an excellent receiver out of the backfield. There's no Calvin Johnson, but there's enough their to find favorable matchups against most any team.

We have to hire someone on the staff with some experience with the Leach-like spread passing attack to introduce some of those ideas as they could in theory be even more successful due to our ability to run the ball better than most spread teams.

I think this is a very good breakdown however one of your main points is of concern to me. I`m not sure our current AD is capable of correcting these problems. He seems to be more of a two bit carnival promoter than an SEC AD. I personally have no faith in him handling this well.

Id like to use the TE a hell of a lot more and be more run oriented rather than "pass first". Use the run to set up the pass.

Like to see a true QB battle this spring/fall as welll.

It should be patently obvious by now. Instead of game-planning, our staff was out recruiting like gangbusters. You can tell from all of the buzz generated in the 15 or so days leading up to yesterday. We're kicking *** in recruiting and Feb 6 will demonstrate clearly where all of the coaching staff energy has been placed. [/FAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRT].

Just talked to a buddy of mine.....hypothetically speaking what if Scott climbed all over Dan after the MT game for grabbing assistant coaches by the arm, dogging out players and referees and what if (hypothetically speaking of course) Dan was furious after said meeting and decided to "mail it in". What then? What would you say then? Would you be "ready for him to leave"? Hmmmm things to ponder. Would KIND OF explain his lack of "fire". Would it not?

What you typed has been on my mind as a "what if." ...............................

Given Danny 2 Gloves' propensity to mail it in when the outcome is obvious (at least in his mind; c.f., punting with 6:47 to go down by 2 scores), I can see him going ***** pout mode after getting crawled for going off on staff/players on regional TV. I can see him doing the "fine then."
