Even though the deadline to withdraw from the draft is still coming up, the deadline to enter the transfer portal is already past, so anyone who we’d be pursuing as a late withdrawal would have to already be in the portal. This means you can cross reference the lists to know who’s even theoretically out there. Besides Momcilovic, there’s Graves and Yessoufou who we allegedly have little to no chance at.

At least one reference also lists some guy named Lou Hutchinson as a dual draft/portal entry, but I’m having trouble finding confirmation that he’s in the portal. Probably because he averaged 4 points per game at Alabama A&M and nobody considered it noteworthy to report.

So no, there don’t appear to be any options in this group of players besides the two you already mentioned.

Majority of college guys (non euro) that entered the draft and maintained college eligibility didn’t enter the portal. So the hunch is that they’re all planning on going back to their original school. Correct me if I’m wrong, but Milan and Allen Graves are the only 2 high pedigree guys in the draft (with eligibility left) that entered the portal as well.

It seems that the big $ donors have been largely unwilling to give Pope as much money as last season given the dismal results, and I suppose that is why we haven't pursued certain guys or been competitive with most of the big targets.

But I have also read someone on here claiming that we have $7 million left to spend. Not sure if that is true. But how is it possible that we would have 7 million that could potentially go unused? What is that? That we have may have that much $ basically go unused is gross negligence.

And Yessoufou. Some others like Vyctorius Miller and Malique Ewin are doing pre-draft stuff. I don't know if Aaron Nkrumah has another year of eligibility.

Some players going through the draft process that may pull out are John Blackwell, Matt Able, Flory Bidunga, Henri Veesaar, Amari Allen, Tyler Tanner, Rueben Chinyelu, Jeremy Fears, Jack Kayil...all of these are already committed to a school though and not all are in the portal ~ but maybe the ones that are transfers didn't officially sign?

Some others not in the draft are Jordan Burks, 5'10 Tijan Saine Jr from Weber St, 6'8 Hamad Mousa from Cal Poly, 6'5 Melih Tunca from Penn St., 6'5 Isaiah Coleman from OSU,

Some other SEC role players still available are guys like Sebastian Mack (Mizz), Emeka Opurum (Aub), Handlogten (FL), Rober Miller (LSU), Frankie Collins (Van), and Tyler Harris (Van).

Koa Peat is being told by teams that another year of college would suit him well. Any chance we could convince him to drop out of the draft and transfer here?

Thank you, greatly appreciate the breakdown. Yessoufou would be a big get.

so the 6’6 Larrea from Spain would be the only good option here for us. He could play a point forward role for us or just spot up on the wing since he is an elite shooter as well.
I posted about him earlier this year. I think he’s very talented and high basketball IQ. We need to see what we do at the center position and wing.
