Saying things like "Division 2" lines when we don't even have the worst lines in the P4, would be among the best in the G5, and would easily be the FCS national champion, much less the level below that, really kills any point you're trying to make. I get exaggerating a bit for effect, but this takes it so far that most of us can't even focus on the rest of your post.
I was showing my frustration with our weak talent. Whitson is still our sack leader! Our OL has allowed the most sacks in the SEC. Y'all love bashing our QBs but they are far from the real problems with this team. The defensive position I was most concerned with entering the season was CB but they have performed well. Go look at the exaggerated comments about Lebby and Shapen on here. Heck, Tom Brady would be in last place in the SEC with our OL.

We brought in Offensive Lineman TWICE since last season and look what we got. He brought them in for Spring, dumped those after Spring and brought more in for Fall and that is what we're watching flail around on the ground today like fish out of water
So we just go with what we have then?

Portal shenanigans aside, say Lebby hires a proven & competent OC, makes changes on staff with the OL, DL, and strength & conditioning coaches. Would that give us more confidence for next year?
The ONLY thing Lebby currently brings to the package is the OC part. There is absolutely no proof he can be a head coach. That is where his decisions are the worst. A good head coach could control him as an OC and he might prove good at that. So yeah hire a person that understands football strategy and is prepared to make sound decisions under pressure and hire him as the Head Coach and Lebby can be a highly paid OC.

How can you tell with the Division 2 OL? Our QBs don't have time to execute the plays. Couple that with the Division 2 DL that allows the opposition time to run anything they want.

not sure how much you can tell about the defense and especially the dl. When the offense goes 3 and out 137 times in a row, the dl is going to get tired.

With all those extra attempts on defense as you say where do we rate on sacks in the SEC? TFL? I'll look forward to your reply.

We will not make a good football head coach hire as long as Keenum is President. He ought to be calling both Selmon and Lebby into his office today and giving both the *** chewing of their lives for being such embarrassments. But he won't. He will go through diplomatic channels and in January he will have an "end of the year assessment". And there will be a lot of laughter and back slapping and nothing will change. Keenum is a bureaucrat, not a leader.
You’ve just described most college administrators.

I didn't say our defense was great. but some of the defense's bad play and stats are definitely on the offense not being able to stay on the field for 2 minutes.

No argument there but you stipulated that with our offense we couldn't tell if our DL was any good. I gave you two statistics that determine how good your defensive line has played during the season. We are #1 in interceptions so the secondary has done it's job and our DL is 11th in sacks. We have had a lot of opportunities to sack QBs but we've only had 11 total. We are also dead last against the run allowing 190 yards per game.

Wholesale coordinator changes while needed here usually do not work. Would not think it would bring excitement unless Saban is going to take a DC job at State and Mullen comes back as OC to work with KT.

So you disagree with his sentiment that our lines are our main issue?

Then you go back to the portal.
That’s what he’s always done since he got the job. Portal crazy when he got here, then again after his first year, and yet again again. At some point he has an issue connecting. As many portals as he’s brought in trying to sign and had to settle. Same with high schoolers. He’s just not a recruiter. Or it’s money or both. He needs to replace his entire staff minus Tucker and Bumphis. Only those two have done much on the recruiting trail.

I agree. He needs someone overseeing him like he’s had everywhere before here. He needs a Kiffin to say no dumass punt the ball. Or run it and win it with a kick. Or slow it down, ball control and salvage this 17 point 4th quarter lead. Games were there to win, but him not having a head coach hold him in line cost us all those games. He hasn’t shown the capacity to learn from these either. Mizzou game running his QBs up the middle 42 times in a row…. He needed 200 yards given to him to beat Arkansas. His lone league win in two years. It’s brutal. It’s like he’s trying to lose games.

I'm gonna make a probably unpopular hot take. Bumphis aint that great of a WR coach. Routes are sloppy. WRs don't block at all. Recruiting is meh. Retention is meh
