Will he beat Percy Lewis out for the left tackle job ? Or will he beat somebody else out and move to left guard ? Or will he be a good depth piece ? He has 2 years left so it is definitely a good get. Shoulda been here the whole time. Like sands thru the hour glass
He will be our starting LT. Memphis plays in the AAC not CUSA.. he’s allowed 1… ONE sack in 400 pass plays in his career…. He’s the number 3 rated tackle in the portal
Memphis had two OL on 2nd & 3rd team all-AAC teams. Pounders wasn’t one of them. Starter & 3* rated transfer. Looks like a decent pickup for us & I expect him to start.
He and Milner (the center from north texas) will start from day one. Pounders has been really, really good at Memphis.
6'6 290 is how he is listed. Some sites say 6'5. For a left tackle that ain't huge. We have bigger guys already. He is a good lineman tho. And his story is great. And the center will start. We will see about Pounders. He should not beat Percy out but that guy has been a little disappointing for a giant 4 star player.

He was committed to MSU for months. Dropped state in Dec, committed to UM a week later and was dropped by them the day before signing. Ended up at Memphis after that.
