Practice special teams? We talkin about practice?

Texas A&M coach Jackie Sherrill got so mad at his kickoff and return teams during a practice that he ordered them to go full speed.</p>

"I remember Keith Woodside told me, 'coach, you don't want to do that,'" Sherrill said. "He said, 'Somebody's going to get hurt and it's not going to be those guys, it's going to be one of us.'"</p>

Those guys were the 12th Man kickoff team that Sherrill created in 1983 before his second season in College Station.</p>The team was composed entirely of walk-ons.
