On 2-17 I had a mild heart attack, and on 2-19 I had open heart surgery with 4 bypasses. My recovery has been uneventful Thank the Lord. I am not recovered fully as yet and start 12 weeks of Cardiac Rehab in 2 weeks. My watching UK play was limited as the skilled nursing facility I transferred to did not have the SEC channel..I did get to watch the SEC tourn semis and final, and I got to come home at the start of the NCAA 1st round, so I got to watch our 4 games. Not lot of cheering from me as I didn't scream or put my arms up [not supposed to]. The games were not as important this year, as recovering was my priority. Please pray for a complete recovery and a normal life.. Drs said I was very lucky, as it could have been more serious. Love my Cats and my wonderful wife who has really been at my side throughout this ordeal.

Will say a prayer for you and your family fellow Colonel.
Maybe it was a blessing from God that you had it in Feb. and not during a tournament game where the stress as a cat fan is sometimes off the chart. And yes, it puts life in perspective.

I suffered a major heart attack at age 44. I am now 62 and still kicking. Just take care of yourself and you will be fine.
