I think Boise St, Ohio State,Oregon, and Virginia Tech would all lose at least three games if they were in the SEC. All three benefit from being in weaker conferences. Boise St gets up for the big games, but I don't think there is anyway they could hang with a team like Bama. Ohio State is overrated every year, Oregon is in turmoil right now, and Virginia Tech hasn't had an effective offense in years. I will be suprised if LSU ends up ranked in the top #15.

All looks pretty good to me. I'm not sure about Oregon being that high or why in the hell South Carolina is ranked. They got stomped by UCONN. I would say Boise may be too high as well. But start 'em in the top 5 this year. I think they have proved they deserve to have a shot at the big boys, other than TCU. I don't even know if they could stay at number 1 in the BCS if someone out of the Big 12 or ACC went undefeated or even the PAC 10, Big 10, or Big East-assuming Alabama makes it to the NC again.

No way Boise is #2, and I think Ohio State, Oregon, and Virginia Tech are all a little overrated at this point.

I think USC, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida are all underrated.

I don't think Arkansas, South Carolina, or Texas A&M merit being on there at all. None of those finished strong, unless you consider an OT win over East Carolina finishing strong.

LSU is way underrated on that poll- until Les Miles screws them up.

Iowa and TCU need to prove to me that they belong on there- especially Iowa.

I think he has North Carolina about right, though.

I also think that Auburn should be on that list and Tennessee should be at the bottom somewhere instead of South Carolina and Arkansas. I think Cincinnati merits being on there as much as TCU and Iowa, and also Utah should be on there.

boise plays at virginia tech and oregon state at home this year. sure, it's easier than anyone in the sec's schedule, but if they go undefeated i don't have a major problem with them getting into the national championship. they'll either get stomped or prove a point. or they'll play someone from the big east/ big 10/ acc.

Boise will be top 3 preseason for sure, and rightfully so........they have 23 of 24 starters back next year. If they can get past Virginia Tech to start the year, they will go undefeated & it will be their best shot at playing in the BCS Championship yet.

I think Auburn will finish ahead of LSU in the Westthis year. LSU lostLaFell, Scott, Williams, Hitt, and Black off an offense that was Croomesque last year. They arelosing Alem,Coleman, Jones, another LB, and some DTs off of their defense. This might be Miles' final year in Red Stick.

expected. He may have a slow start and hurt OSU early. I think this is going to be the best team that South Carolina has had in a long time. They have been recruiting some playmakers and Garcia should be ready to step up his game. Who knows how Mallett's foot will heal. Besides Bama, the west should be pretty wide open. I would consider 6 wins for OM to be a good showing.

Maybe because South Carolina was one of the youngest teams in the country this past year, and they had a pretty good season. They clearly didn't like the fact that they were relegated to Birmingham, but they did beat Clemson last year at the end of the season and beat them handily. They were up and down most of the year, but a lot of people think they can be one of the challengers in the East this year since they return so much from a team that was young last year.
