You gotta have an equal number of wins and losses to play this game. You're at 99 wins and 93 losses.

I was a microbiology major. Just call them estimates, give or take one loss for each.

I think the SEC is a tougher basketball conference this year for sure- and the reason we may lose 4 games in conference...with Kentucky and Tenn in da Hump though, we should win the SEC and be 13-3...and I agree with woya- I think the West is stronger than the East when it all shakes out

On paper the East is better but as last year showed that does not mean a whole lot. I think some of the teams in the East have potential but are kind of soft like Florida, Vandy, and South Carolina. Those team usually don't respond well to some of the rougher play of the West teams.

Not going to actually put some numbers up, but there is a great chance we win the SEC outright, the game w/ UK is going to be huge. Having them at home is a big deal, we beat them by 30 last year in Lexington and they lose Meeks this year (this will hurt them more than people realize). I don't think we drop more than 3 games this year, we'll have the West wrapped up by 2/16.</p>

The SEC should be much better this year.

Last year, according to Ken Pomeroy's stats, the SEC had 8 teams that were 215th or lower in the nation in terms of returning experience, out of 344 teams, including 5 outside the Top 300.

Alabama - 215
Georgia - 258
Kentucky - 259
Florida - 312
MSU - 321
Vanderbilt - 338
Arkansas - 340
Ole Miss - 344

I don't think the SEC has ever been younger as a league. LSU was No. 22 in the nation in experience, so it's no surprise they won the title over a league full of kids when they were the only decent veteran team. Auburn was No. 31, and they had a surprise season because of their experience.

It's also no surprise that 4 of the teams expected to make a big turnaround this year (Florida, MSU, Vandy, and Ole Miss) all return the majority of their players off those young teams.

You do know that MSU made the NCAA tournament and won the SEC tournament last season right?

Yes you did, but you were a team that was headed to the NIT if the SEC tourney didn't carry an automatic bid with it. I think most of your fans are expecting better than HAVING to win the SEC tourney to get to the NCAA tourney, and I'll bet from what I've read on here, most of them expect better than a 13 seed and a first round exit.

You would not have received an at large bid to the tourney last year. This year, I think you will likely get an at large bid, and I'm expecting you to finish higher than 3rd in the West.

You don't have to get defensive about everything I say. I expect your basketball team to be significantly better than it was last year, and the same can be said for us, Vandy, and Florida because of the experience that each team has added without losing a whole lot.
