Played at 350 last year and target is 320 this year. He’s working with a nutritionist and a year in SC program. He’s going to be a great player

Clearly I have no idea what is weight is, but to my eye test he looks much better in that drill than he did last year.

If Hayes and Ox improve enough to take focus off of him a little that will help immensely. really expected more out of the DL last year. He is a great piece to build around.

Reminds me of the movie Bloodsport where the bad guy tells Jean Claude Vandamme after he smashes a bunch of bricks, "very good but brick no hit back."

but seriously, at the end of the day, Walker is a stud but making first team all-sec as a DL is really really tough. You gotta beat out several other guys who are going to be first round picks.

I think we need more from Rybka (1 career sack and 1.5 career TFL in two seasons). Seems to be totally serviceable player who maintains his run fits more often than not, but if he can level up and become more of a playmaker - just on TJ Carter quality (6 sacks and 12 TFL his last three years) - that would be a plus up for the unit.

If Ox also improves then the DL starts getting conference and national buzz.

Smith at LSU is elite, but tore an ACL in their 1st or 2nd game. Not sure where he will be when the season begins. We have several who can play but don't see any 1st team all SEC interior types, just a good group. So I think a legit shot at 1st team.

Is he just too good to play NG and demand a double team and more freeing up the other smaller faster players to rush the QB? (Could have been DT and not NG. I always forget what we call the space clogger on our line).
