OK. I never defended what Flood did. I think it was dumb and showed poor judgment. But I still don't get your reply to my post "All Hail Flood." The original article was stupid. The intimidation thing is silly, and was based on some silly notion of perceived intimidation because of Coach Flood's position.
I don't see anything wrong in debating and debunking silly articles and assertions. But some of y'all just think anything that is not "fire flood" is hailing him. It's hilarious.
We need to be prepared for another year of Flood. I don't agree with it, but I am not going to continually piss on the man if that is who the administration says will be our football coach. I will live with his many deficiencies and hope he learns, grows and gets some serious coordinators on the sidelines. I will have no problem if he is terminated at the end of the year and we go in a new direction. I will fully support the new coach, even if it is PJ Fleck.

The yapping part is what everyone has a problem with. Nobody thinks last year's victory has any meaning tomorrow. But they do think last year's victory should have meaning in regard to Michigan writers trashing RU (and not RU's play on the field this year) and our worthiness as a conference member. I will take a loss against our final three opponents if we can beat these snobs again this year.
Maybe Janarion talks back the opening kick as did Nate Jones at Tenn.in 2002,and we badly outplay them for a half.Maybe this will be these writers' "What's a Rutgers?" moment.

Well not really. I don't think there is anyway Laviano leads the team to double digits. But these guys are so condescending that I almost wouldn't mind losing my $500 bet on Michigan -24.5 for a Rutgers outright W to shut them up. But.....it's not happening.

Yeah, I can't imagine watching us play and having 500 reasons to want us not only lose, but to get beat badly.
I don't think Flood is the long term answer here, but I sure as heck hope we find a way to win today.
Starting in 1998 ohio state has won all but 4 games against michigan. Two of those wins for michigan were in 1999 and 2000. That's 17 games and this year will be 18 games, so yeah just about 20 years ohio state has pushed around michigan. Michigan is their ***** now.
Have to agree with White Bus and Nuts on this one ( surprise suprise!) Last year was last year. No comparison for both teams which unfortunately are moving in opposite directions. Those of us who have some hope are much like Zappa...we are behind the players and program and as usual will root for the team but the situation is a mess and hard to understand and swallow from the top on down. It's all about commitment and the ability to manage money and cash flows including objective planning as opposed to cutting certain things when most needed.
Are you talking to condescending Michigan fans, or Rutgers fans who want Flood fired this season? Because barring the team somehow winning out, there will be no suspension of the latter.
I was actually a Michigan fan before I went to Rutgers. Boy was I young and stupid.
