lots of things on message boards are true, but press conferences have a really low batting average.

I mean, you can have rumors about what will go on at the press conference, but this is happening.

is that everyone gets worked up about them and they either a. don't happen or b. are just run of the mill PCs.

He didn't say anything, he let a football weekend take attention away from it.

He was lucky this happened on a Friday, since no one pays attention to news releases or stories on Friday.

He let the football weekend come and go, and now he will have a joint news conference and everyone says they are united and ready to start the season. Kodi may say that he deserves to be suspended and realizes what he said was wrong, and that he was just upset about the loss.

Now as long as the other players are on board with this, its a great move for Stans since he needs Kodi to play big minutes this year.

And if someone else had posted this, I might say the same thing you said, so I can't fault you for it. I also know it's not a run-of-the-mill presser. Those usually have more than a couple hours' notice.

You gotta believe Kobi's Dad wanted to kick his *** for running his pie hole.

Hopefully this will calm things the F down.

like I said in the other thread:

He will sit a game or two
They will talk about what a great meeting they had and they really understand where each other are coming from
Stansbury will talk about Kodi being a great kid and he was just frustrated

And then Stansbury will continue to lose games he shouldnt, make insane substitutions, and be lauded on Sixpack for going 20-11 heading into the SEC Tourney when any decent coach would have had us at 25-6...

a public apology will get much less press. i'd rather stans make him give an apology via a written statement to a news source. a press conference only perpetuates the idea that it is OK to talk to the press in the first place. i still contend that we'd be better off if players didn't talk to the press at all (referencing my argument about Snead and his dubmass blog about their season).

make him write the letter and then ban the entire team from contact with the press unless stans is present. i believe they have much more important things to worry about than dealing with the press.

say a decent coach would have gon 28-3 and blame it on his "getting lucky" in recruiting again. you will admit no wrong, continue straining your shoulder by patting yourself on the back, suck your boyfriend off, and keep thinking you're actually a smart person.

Kind of a serious question, I can't think a PC like the one Kodi had on the collegiate level. In the pros, sure.

I'm over the Sat. butt whip, but I'm not over the Friday night. You don't get to the next level without the intensity to win every game. Any loss is horrible!

The only way Ricky could go 25-6 is to play the entire SWAC and directional Louisiana schools but that won't happen because he "upgraded" the schedule to play powerhouses like Rider and Houston and decided to travel across the country on 2 separate trips to play UCLA and San Diego.

So a kid rips his coach in public, gets suspended a game, and coach says everything is now working out fine. Really? What's next, march madness is in march?

I don't have Ronny's archives, but I specifically remember you stating the other day that Kodi would start Thursday night. I shouldn't be surprised though, revisionist history is your specialty.

to the Rebel who was saying he should be kicked off the team that he should start, and then under that in the same thread I said in actuality I really thought he would sit a game or two and then be right back in there..ridiculous to even remotely think he would be removed from the team</p>
