He doesn't really say anything we haven't known since the Belhaven game, but he does say it well.

....Locke lit both of them up.
Even with poor conditioning, you can still try. And a disturbing
trend with Sidney is what seems to be a repulsion at the thought of help
side defense. He sees a guard flying down the baseline, he treats the
dude like a leper. Might catch something from him, like desire.

But
back to Stansbury. How can he defend Sidney? Probably because he's not
in charge of him. Sidney decides when he's ready to come out and go back
in – pay attention, and you'll see him signal to the bench for a sub,
and other times he'll just up and walk to the scorer's table to check
in, unprompted by Stansbury.

Stansbury isn't coaching Sidney.
He's enabling him, and he's enabling him right into basketball oblivion.
And for what purpose, I can't fathom.

..isn't it POSSIBLE Stansbury takes Sidney out when he asks for a breather and tells him something like "you're back in at the 10 min mark" and doesn't have to point to him to go back in? Hell, even my high school coach did that. Locke is assuming a helluva lot there when evaluating Stansbury's coaching relationship with Sidney.

Both high school coaches I played for would simply tell us to "go check in at the 8 minute mark." It seems reasonable that this isoccurring. Either way, Sidney is still a very frustrating player. I find it hard to route for a team with that guy on it.

"Even with poor conditioning, you can still try."

And this is why I no longer watch Mississippi State play basketball.

Were that several of the twitter comments said that he used to play hard in HS.

What that tells me is all the rumors of Stans basically leaving the conditioning to the players and not letting the strenght and conditioning coaches do their job is absolutely true.

The kid himself has a poor work ethic - so do most tennagers. Thus the responsibility falls on the coaches to force them to do the work and it's pretty clear Stans doesn't do that. So both of them are continually getting ripped in the media and rightly so in my opinion.

for piling on. Just taking his opportunity to kick the dead horse we all are and have been well aware of.

Look out Locke, Dawgbreeze and Stans are on the way to kick your ***.
To be fair I have no problem with the RSS coming and going as he pleases, he is our best Big Man on the offensive end. He has backed away on defense beacuse the refs call all these little ticky tack fouls on him if he even breathes on a player. Let's hope both Stans and the RSS come out Saturday with a new Fire under there ***........

Because I don't. Dykes pretty much said he's been coddled all his life. Including high school where when things got tough, he just moved on to a new school.

What on earth could have possibly given you any indication or even an inkling of hope that this might happen? I'm not trying to single you out, particularly, but in my opinion anyone who is hoping for that may as well start crapping in their other hand and see which gets filled first...

Basically there is no indication from either of them that they are willing or even CONSIDERING changing anything... so I highly doubt it.
