And bishop has been more consistent this year lost a tough game to trinity and a close game to north wilkesboro. Other losses are to east Surry and mount airy. I’m just saying I know things have changed in Alleghany but if people were making assumptions about them what should one be saying about bishop when they enter especially if they beat prep 2nd year in a row who had just as many athletes is anyone in the west

Incorrect. A team can't be seeded higher than a team that finished ahead of them in their conference.
Union Academy, Pine Lake Prep and Highland Tech all have one conference win, would the team with highest Maxpreps ranking (Highland Tech) not get seeding priority amongst those 3?
I actually overlooked that. I'm not sure how they'll break a 3 way tie. I haven't seen anything about using maxpreps rating to break a tie though. But they may. If Highland gets in then they'll be big and push SE Halifax out which drops Rosewood to 1A. That also would push a western team to the east bracket as well. Which would be South Stanly.
Rosman isnt beating alleghany....sure hayesville killed us 2 years ago....but 2 years ago we totally sucked. Alleghanys wont make a run at western title either...we r not beating murphy or mitchell or robbinsville. I would love to have a shot at TJA...think we could give them a good game.

Bishop mcguinness beat us early in the year... I think we would beat them in a rematch bc we are a young squad and are much improved from early in the season. Bishop returned the opening kickoff vs us. And we had lots of turnovers that game. We absolutely beat the living hell out of elkin this past week and if we play like that in the playoffs...watch out.
We have sit and deliberated over this for 2 days now. It might take a week for them to release brackets haha
Someone on another site is saying East Wilkes ADM number was wrong and their corrected number is 519, which would put them in the 1AA brackets. This would have huge ramifications in the 1AA west as it would potentially move North Stanly to the 1AA east, with Hobbton moving down to the 1A west.

East Wilkes turned in their ADM. However, they have to count kids (33) that attend the early college even though they do not attend EW. I was told that 3 of the 33 early college students are athletes.

If North Stanly goes east and Mitchell / Murphy stay down this year the western regional will be a All northwest 1a affair if the two heavyweights don’t see each other early. As a football fan this is dissapointing as the 1aa west will be weak as pond water :-/. Now as I’ve read this thread I am seeing the talk of Murphy and Mitchell as it should be but I’m scratching my head trying to figure out why we ain’t hearing anything about Thomas Jefferson?
I think the reason for no TJA chat is two fold. Not alot of TJA fans on here and the fact they are being overlooked due to them being a charter. I say that because historically the charters that have had very good/great regular seasons have had a hard time come playoffs. Sooner or later that trend will end and it could be this season with a very talented TJA squad. Teams should take them serious.
MY thing is I HATE that a team like Bear Grass gets a number two seed when its only them and Columbia in a conference. They play Columbia 3 times to determine the conference champs. Columbia has not won a game all year!!!!!!!!!!! So Bear Grass is conference champs out of a two team league with the other team being winless.. Bear Grass is a 12 seed without a doubt...But since they are "conference champs" they get a 2 seed smh LMBO UNBELIEVABLE
Wait, but BK and others have stated Charters have such a huge advantage over small public schools?! So, why is everyone crying about charters if you don’t care for them in playoffs? TJA will do just fine and 1AA should be very mindful of MIC and CSD...both schools barely lost to TJ and the game could have gone either way..that running back for MIC, who is 2nd in the nation in rushing yards and committed to UNC Chapel Hill is the REAL DEAL...
Bishop is NOT a good football team. Any talk of them having a legit shot at the small 1-A West is either crazy or shows the weakness of the small 1-A West (my vote is that it's crazy to suggest they have a shot).
