Fox doesn't agree that it was full to the Washington Monument. Look at a high level shot or the time lapse cameras from the Monument and you'll see things that you can't see in the low angle CNN shot. It should be noted that the distance from the Capitol to the Monument is about 20% further than Mountaineer Field to the Coliseum so it's not that easy to tell how full it is from a low angle camera.
It was still a big crowd given the weather so nothing to be ashamed of. What concerns me is that Trump's ego makes him feel the need to lie about it and people are buying it.

It. The crowd reached the Washington Monument it was made clear in the picture. That is why Trump got angry. The media lied through their teeth.

Based on the picture provided by CNN, Fox live through their teeth, yes. Boom, your problem is you're not distinguishing between Fox hard news and their opinion journalist. Their hard news provided by Shepard Smith and Chris Wallace tends to be very evenhanded even though both are liberals.

A different Fox article stated that from the perspective of where Trump was standing it did look full, even though it wasn't.
I tried to find other pictures in online news but didn't have luck finding many that showed an overall view. There were some livecams that were posting all day throughout the inauguration and they look to be pretty consistent with what is shown in the tweet.
This is such a stupid argument but the CNN photos have been posted many times on this board. The mall looks mostly full to most of us. But one fact is unassailable and that is that his television audience was the second largest since 1981. And we know that two factors were in play at the mall. One, the weather was horrible. Two, there were threats of violence by leftist all day. In fact there were 267 arrests.
