Bracewell is the guy that tweaked his hamstring on Tues. Now THAT'S the type of guy that is going to get us turned around.

He could have sat out, but he wanted to compete for us.

Nice job by the entire team.

They throw strikes and they battle. Now if we can just get some guys in here who can hit.

that and they're a top 25, maybe 20 team that we beat. And Dyson is thought very highly of- probably a high draft pick.

So many things. We get swept, and we're 14-14. Now, we're at worst 15-13 with a 8 or 9 game home stand. A win tommorrow would be huge as well, and now we're in a position to possibly win the series. If we won this series going into a long homestand, it could turn our season completely around.

Just today, lowly MSU beats SC; even more lowly UT beats OM; even more lowly UGA beat LSU.

The person who made the observation: "Baseball is a game a failure" was spot on.

I see some promise, even as our guys struggle.

The "wait 'till next year" is old with us, but I do see potential for the future.
This year would be just fine with me, also.

Baseball America had South Caroline at number 12. The surprising and somewhat depressing thingI saw in that poll was Virginia. Virginia has been ranked at number 1 for something like 5 consecutive weeks or so. Thanks Polk!

DURHAM, N.C.—Virginia won its third series against a ranked opponent this season, this time taking two of three from No. 16 Clemson, to extend its run at No. 1 in Baseball America's Top 25 rankings. The Cavaliers, the preseason No. 2 team, have held the No. 1 spot for five weeks.

Arizona State and UCLA both continued their perfect starts to the season and kept moving up in the rankings this week. The Sun Devils swept their first Pac-10 series of the year against California to improve to 23-0 and jump to No. 2. Meanwhile, the Bruins swept Cal Poly to reach 20-0 and the No. 6 ranking.

A trio of Southeastern Conference squads had big weekends in conference play and moved up. Mississippi headlines the list thanks to its series victory over then-No. 2 Florida, allowing the Rebels to make the biggest move of the week as they vaulted seven spots to No. 11. Just in front of them is Arkansas, which impressed by sweeping No. 25 Alabama and likewise made a big jump up to No. 10. Finally, South Carolina went on the road and took won its series at Auburn to move up to No. 12 this week.

Arizona was the only team to join the rankings this week. The Wildcats made their poll debut at No. 22 after a 4-1 week that included two midweek wins against New Mexico and then a weekend series win against conference foe Oregon. Arizona replaced Rice in the rankings after the Owls lost their weekend series to Memphis to drop their record to 13-12. This marks the first time Rice has fallen out of the Top 25 since the end of the 2000 season.

and a really good coach.

If Cohen doesn't work out, he would be a really good one to get.

How can you have a 4-loss Virginia team ranked ahead of 23-0 Arizona St and 20-0 UCLA? Especially when ASU and UCLA have both played tougher schedules than Virginia.
