Why is it too bad? I don't get it. Do you realize that you're posting on the Rutgers board and not your PSU board?
It doesn't matter who they get. PSU will suck anyway and I'm looking forward to it.
Penn State supporters can whine about the Nit's AD coaching search, but they should keep that on their own board because I doubt RU fans will be sympathetic
But maybe it's not really a NIL problem, but because the better choices don't want to go there with what Penn State has to offer

I have mentioned before, I cannot understand why PU don’t won’t sink the money into basketball
Rounding up NIL money for 13 players versus up to 85 fb
Paying the going rate fora basketball staff
They just came off a decent year with a good and desirable coach
They have tons of money due to the financial success of football
They had an opportunity at this time to step up. The opportunity does not come around every year
This is a Rutgers board

You guys are harsh. The PSU coaching search is mildly of interest here because it's another Big Ten team against which we compete.
Now, if you want to say that we don't give a crap -- or better yet are HAPPY -- that the Nits are having a tough go of it in the coaching search, perfectly fine and I agree.
But it IS "relevant" to our discussions on this board.

No problem discussing a B1G program's coaching search, but don't expect to see meaningful discussion about it when the thread begins with a whine by someone that seems to be in the know there.
Well one of their two commits just asked for a release from his NLI and their only other commit is Shrews kid.

I don't care for the OP's post-and-run style on TKR, but I actually took the last part of his post, "Too bad." and translated the sentiment as "Too bad, so sad". I think that might have been his intention, but I could also be giving him too much credit given his posting history.

Yes its relevant they are a rival in our conference

Agreed. This is a team we play 1-2 times per regular season. They just had their best 5 year run in decades. Here’s hoping they fall on their face hard with this hire. Would love for their next guy to be for them what Eddie Jordan and Chris Ash were to us.
Zero Sum game …hope they botch the coaching search , all their players hit the portal , and they mess up the class of 2024
Their messing up means we are ahead of them
I like it…there were a couple of guys that I liked better that I thought were realistic, but Rhoades makes a lot of sense.
