Wonder how this NIL influence or directions by some committee as to VALUE audit effects what recruits are promised vs. paid vs. rankings audit is supposed to work? If three wrestlers have "equal" records, does that make their NIL entitlement the same? What if they are at three different weights? Does that raise their VALUE because of supply shortage? What if a school needs a certain weight, would not that increase the NIL VALUE to them over another that had other needs? . . . . . best to all..............rs
This reads like someone who doesn't understand how NIL VALUE auditing is supposed to work.
The VALUE is what a student athlete might be paid to perform a legitimate service. The VALUE audit is to ensure payment Is in line with the market for that business purpose for similar individuals.
Popularity of a student athlete, perhaps based on social media influence, team popularity, skill, or importance of team role, could be baked into the VALUE determination, as audited.
It's not supposed to be pay for performance on the team. Therefore, team need shouldn't affect NIL $.
I don't see how any wrestling weight could be considered more important given how team scoring is done. I do see how a pinner could be considered more important than one who only wins by regular decision. But this could just be why one student athlete is more popular.
