If the BIG tourney didn’t matter for selection then what were the two resumes before it started?

Sorry but same record in conference and nearly same record overall. RU had better net and beat them twice. RU over PSU if tourney didn’t happen. Another BS subjective criteria by the selection committee.
If you don’t care to understand that’s up to you. Enjoy the rest of your thread.

They told you why Rutgers didn't go

They literally took the resume and threw it in the trash and just focused on how we looked without a player

And then they disregarded how we played in non-conference without a couple of players who later returned and then cited our non-conference performance as poor. So if we just played like we did in the last month and Mag was still in the lineup, we would've made it? Based on the chairman's explanation it sure sounds like it because our bubble competitors weren't exactly kicking *** against top flight competition the last month.

It would be interesting to know when they threw Rutgers resume in the trash. Maybe after Minnesota or northwestern.
I am not sure if we would have gotten in if we beat purdue and then lost to Ohio state in the BIG tournament.

It was crazy that with our metrics, weak bubble and no bid thiefs we were still 2 spots away from Dayton ! In a normal year we would have been way way out with this committee

There's no way we would've been left out if we beat Purdue on Friday.

Next time an injury like this happens , feed the press BS. Dress the injured guy (mag) for the conference tournament and say he is available and will be playing in the NCAA tournament .

Don't forget the reason why we lost that player in an NBA arena with a fresh coat of paint or different squares of wood floor for the B1G made playing conditions pretty slick in a "home game" on Feb 4th that should have been played at Jersey Mike's but forced upon us by our own conference? The Knicks played home games on Feb 2nd vs the Heat and Feb 4th, the same day as, vs the Clippers.

Possibility . I don’t think the committee was watching at that point . Beating purdue would have got them to notice us, yes . But if we laid an egg against Ohio state we still might have been out

Im actually not so sure anymore

I agree. they clearly didnt want 9 Big10 teams. Beating Purdue would have put a LOT more pressure to include us.

while I dont think our snub this year was too egregious. it sucks for sure. but its your typical snub that happens every year (no where close to an "all time snub"). but if we had been left out after beating Purdue again right at the end there - THAT would have been an all time snub.

bac is out here telling you the committee used no logic and then people are trying to argue with him by pointing out the committee in fact had no logic.

Is it so hard to just agree with someone? Is it so hard to just acknowledge the committee will say some things but it doesn’t really matter? We saw last season with Texas A&M and this year with us you can’t leave it in the committee’s hands. They’ll give it to the ACC. And they keep on giving it to the ACC because it works out for them.

Huh. I think I’m raising a legitimate point. You can’t just point to the final game of the regular season as rationale. Please tell me where that’s flawed? It’s been reported that the tourneys weren’t factored in. If they weren’t then what were the resumes at the end of the year?

"There are a few significant differences in the dimensions of the NCAA court. For starters, the key is only 12 feet wide, rather than 16. The first box on the side of the key is only six feet from the baseline, not seven. The restricted area under the basket is also one foot smaller, at three feet in diameter rather than the NBA’s four."

Right about where Mag slipped and tore his ACL were things they needed to change for a college game in the paint.

When i have time ill dig up the exact resume as of 8 days ago. It was good enough for them to get in at the time
