PRokie,

So Happy to hear you have "investigated" my claims and found them without merit. Guess we all see now how Hillary was educated to see she's done nothing wrong. It's all good.

I'm guessing you should really be enjoying the State title the boys of Maine South just earned. I mean this with complete sincerity that they played a hell of game and should be proud of that win! Enjoy it.

Dude... your stance is old and tired. I've looked into your claims and found them without merit. Recruiting isn't a passing comment. Recruiting is multiple conversations over a span of time being generated by the recruiting school.

This was not nor ever the case.

If so, please be SPECIFIC to who we recruited that played here.

Maybe you should go back to gofundme to start a league of all star teams there in the east to compete with your patriots..
Are these the patriots with the lawsuits?

They get the transfers because they have a great coach, families still need to physically sell their house and move like the huge majority of other schools need to happen.. why punish a program for success when they are playing by the rules most of the schools play by???
Not looking for punishment. If the rules are there to prevent one particular team from overwhelming their class, it should apply to all types, otherwise the particular rule is hypocritical.
If we need a SF rule to further handicap the private schools and it isn't suitable for the publics, either apply SF to all or come up with a better way to classify the super successful privates without a SF.
I'm just trying to look at ways to coexist. It's looking less and less feasible.

Bones,

I saw your earlier post about God loves the publics for free(paraphrasing). It's true God loves everyone for free, so I will move on because you have made me realize that only those who are without sin should cast the stones. As I am not I will move on. Since you appear to be without sin how may I serve?

But the purpose of the success factor and waiving the multiplier was to have 3 tiers of private schools..

Tier 1- Chicago Christian, Freeport Aquin, Peru St Bede etc
Tier 2- Bloomington CC, Mac, St Laurence
Tier 3- Montini, SHG and what ever other program goes on a big run, maybe ICCP??

Which if you go back, a lot of private schools and fans were pushing for such a system, Saying no two schools are created equally.. over time the IHSA has went from treating all private schools the same to now 3 different groupings..

I can't stand that b$&@ch...
As far as your allegations go... came with quite a chuckle. The rest of the conversation even more interesting. Particularly the part about the Patriots being able to help kids get money to go to privates.

Thank you for the kind words for our victory.
It was so very sweet.

big congrats to ms this year.. that was one heck of a game. what I thought most intriguing about the game. was inserra totally out coached the nfl linebacker. he made holecek make bad decisions. and if anyone disputes it, how do you not take your timeouts with more than 3mins left on the clock. you are getting the ball back. he did not use his weapons.
but, I tell you this.
that lilguy running thru Loyola most of the game was like a hot knife thru butter.
they just seemed to have them off balance most of the game. even when it was tight, you just looked at the sidelines and seen the plays being called. smooth, calm, sure of his calls vs hoping, and forcing plays. Loyola's playmakers made plays no questions but maine south's team made plays. and that kicker was the game difference maker. unbelievable talent for a high school player.
definitely the player of the game and can be in the talks of player of the nite.
he made plays that changed the game in ms favor all nite. his kicks changed the game, his play hands down player of the nite.

prokie, ms4ever congrats one a very well played game.

Thank you Dogz!!

I will first say that if you give the MS staff a second chance... look out. Charlie Bliss will eat you alive!!
Inserra and the boys totally out coached the LA staff.

Make no mistake... that LA team was freakin AWESOME. Nobody can deny that.

That being said... up until this year, 51 NEVER stepped on the field except for punts and field goals. He told the coaches he wanted in.
Well... he was AWESOME all year!

The Greek Freaks were definitely a force to be reckoned with, and Hincamp made huge catches..

However, our Achilles heel all year was our defense. They stepped up HUGE each week of the playoffs.

As proud as we are of the boys, we are just as proud as how we showed up as a community.
We won the spirit award before the game even started, and had several hundred people lining the streets to great our boys on the way in.

Great win for the boys, Great win for the staff, Great win for the MS community.

I would like to know how many Rochester players actually grew up in the district, or for that matter, was in the district three years before highschool age.
Jesus, its an aspirational suburb for (hopefully essential) state workers - you could make the same claim about Lincoln Way East, Plainfield and Oswego circa the year 2000, or hell, TF North during its 1980 season (S.E. side, Roseland "refugees").

God knows it's not for the educational benefits at da Brook since they fail many of the state standards.
Ignorant statement. You are saying the school has terrible teachers because it fails state standards? Tools do not make a craftsman make.

Interesting discussion despite the barbs being thrown back and forth. Definitely believe the SF should be applied to all schools in the IHSA. Wonder if teams who had that SF and then tanked in the next couple of years would have the SF and multiplier taken off them? Don't think so!

Curious.... any way the private schools could sit down and determine which classes their schools should be in???? Have a committee that meets, decides SHG, JCA and Montini are 6A, Mac and ICCP are 5A etc... then have the power to say 'hey, JCA isnt going to be their normal selves in 2017, lets move them down to 5A.. they could never fall below their multiplied enrollment, but the committee could shuffle them up..

Power,

Are you saying the school has ignorant students that are incapable of learning? My point is the school has a state standard to meet, it fails to do so in several areas, why would I move my kid there from a school that has better metrics? Could it be for extracirculars? Hmmm I think it could be.

If they don't like their conference opponents they are certainly welcome to look for a new conference home.

I honestly don't get what you're saying here. Can you clarify? Who are you saying has the advantage and why? You'll note that I don't mention advantage.

ramblinman has been suggesting some sort of classification like that. I am a pragmatist and keep asking how.
Thursday. Should have some more concrete by Thursday.

Some people when you see how they actually think, you just gotta let them be them and hope their genes don't spread too much. Lots of opportunity to do a lot of things in that school. If the kids don't take advantage it's their loss. Unfortunately teachers are bound by these standardized tests that don't tell the whole story.

Bones,

Let me not pick on The Brook. The same issue was true in District 204 a few years ago. The same issue existed at WV and the principle was replaced. As it works out in district 204 if a school fails to meet or exceed the standard for x number of years(I think it's either 3 or 4) in a row, Parents can in writing request their kids go to another school in the district and the district must grant the request and provide transportation. This is a nightmare which district 204 has had to avoid since Metea was added and the huge split and fight over boundaries between Neuqua and Waubonsie families.

My point is kids have to be taught and adults need to teach, you're correct that both parties need to be in step, but leadership must make everyone accountable.

I'm not sure football in Chicagoland area will be able to continue now the Jwar has left the area.

He would've been HUGE in the Order of the NIPL with Ramble-On.

PROkie,

We left it in your capable hands. Again congrats to your son on his state title this season. Many more to come I Hope.

We are still playing here in PA, game on Saturday against Pittsburgh Central Catholic. By the way I'm a public school guy now. Where I live the Catholic school is just too far away(60miles).

All kidding aside... thank you
Busting balls seems like a job sometimes, but sincerely I am glad you were able to take care of what matters most... your family.

As far as 60 miles goes... that's well within the Chicagoland Catholic School radius!

Sorry, couldn't help it!
