Erik, a troubling stat is that Stoops hasn't won a single game when UK trails at the half. in 3 years. 25 losses 0-25 when trailing at the half. that is a super telling statistic. no halftime adjustments. no in game adjustments (for the better)

I feel the same, but there comes a point to where even with better players you can't win in the SEC without great coaching. This is only his 3rd year and I honestly believe we can't completely give up until he has had 5 years atleast, but he is quickly altering my opinion week by week.UPSCat, honestly dude, Stoops has shown NOTHING between the lines. It's his recruiting that I'm optimistic about.

ram1955, the fact that UK makes so many mistakes is just unbelievable. You might be right about some things happening behind the scenes.
I mean, some teams will go through the entire 2015 season and not do half the things UK did today.

*How do you get SACKED on a hail mary when you have time to throw (LOLOLOL). Towles shouldn't play another down of football this season.

This is the scary and unexplainable part. You keep thinking that after serious mishaps in earlier games that the fans and media crush them over the coaches would all get together and really bear down and get more organized and prepared themselves but with each game they look even more lost and confused. How is that possible given the stakes and scrutiny they know will come? They have to be smarter than thatIt's the same damn mistakes over and over by this staff. It's embarrassing
*Man, wouldn't it have been nice to have that timeout that UK used on a freaking PUNT on that final possession? What a joke.

*3 drops on the first possession cost UK seven. That set the tone for yet another awful night of football.
*1st and goal at the one foot line = no points.
*1st and goal at the two yard line = no points
*Pick six.
*Punt blocked.
*Huge Baker drop on third down (low throw).
*Penalties on multiple punts and punt returns.
*Another 4th and 1 at midfield blown call by Stoops.
*Timeout BEFORE a punt (hahahahahahaha).
*Failed to get lined up for a field goal attempt, took a penalty.
*Missed field goal.
*Fell for one of the oldest trick plays in the sport.
*Love the 2nd and long run game Dawson is developing (hahahahaha).
Overall, the most embarrassing loss in the Stoops era. Kentucky spent all four quarters doing just what they've done all season long, cutting their own throats.
I'm still on the Stoops bandwagon, but he should be absolutely embarrassed tonight. Kentucky made a seasons worth of mistakes in one game, and they've made a lifetime full of mistakes this season. His teams CONSISTENTLY look unprepared and undisciplined.

Erik it's like they have not learned from past mistakes in management in the game.ram1955, the fact that UK makes so many mistakes is just unbelievable. You might be right about some things happening behind the scenes.

UK may be the only team in college football who could turn a 35-7 win, which is what this game should've been, into a loss.
Stoops ain't getting fired. Best we can hope for is to get new coordinators and special teams coach.
Recruiting is the only thing Stoops has right now. He better hope and pray they don't bail on him.
I wouldn't be optimistic, Stoops is such a bad coach he probably needs a top 5 recruiting class just to make up for his flaws.UPSCat, honestly dude, Stoops has shown NOTHING between the lines. It's his recruiting that I'm optimistic about.

Very good summary. I went to the game tonight knowing full well that it could be downright ugly. Arriving from Atlanta latein the second quarter, Vandy (the SEC perhaps?) still required me to have a ticket and would only sell me one for full price, $55. I walked away shaking my head but found a season ticket holder who had an extra. Thankfully, he gave me the ticket, as that was the only way I was getting in, to have one given to me. So, I saw this debacle. In a sea of futility, against woeful Vanderbilt, we went on an error binge. Eric, yes, a good summation of some of the dumbest things witnessed not just this year but ever in one game, and add catching yet another punt INSIDE the 10 yard line to your list. I have no idea why I continue to put my hand in the wood chipper that is Kentucky Football, but like you all, I do. Thankfully again, I have spent ZERO on this team this year and last. That's just good business, and it'll continue that way until the product is much better and a lot less embarrassing. With the money involved, and the contract extension, we are royally screwed, and yes, I'm out of the canoe, off the bandwagon, and prefer another cleaning of the house. This brand of crappy football simply cannot endure.*Man, wouldn't it have been nice to have that timeout that UK used on a freaking PUNT on that final possession? What a joke.

cats2010, like I said, it's all about recruiting. But I agree with your post. And in three years now, Stoops has been mostly a joke between the lines. Game changing mistakes have become the norm.
