Question about after the game: Why no Alma Mater?

I never liked our teams having to stand out there after a loss. It’s kind of demeaning . Sing along and celebrate after you win . Get back to the lockeroom ASAP after you lose.

I think they only do it after a win. Not saying it's right.
I would like them to do it after every game especially when the team battles so hard despite the loss.

They used to do if after every game in football and basketball. I agree with Plum though. I'd rather not make the teams stand around for that after a loss.
They stopped doing it after a loss at least a few years ago.
They haven't done the alma mater after a loss for quite some time now.
What has been irking me is that when we have done it this year, they put the words up on the big board instead of showing the coaches and players singing. I don't need to see the words, I'd rather see smiling, happy faces after a win.

That's what I remember. Prior to playing the Alma Mater, the band used to play Loyal Sons at the end of the game, which a lot of the older alumni knew.
