I saw where the Self kid committed today (pitcher from Genada).Does anyone know much about him? Good pickup?

Also, this may have been asked before, but is there any chance that Baseball recruiting will ever be added to these recruiting sites and networks? I know it's not big everywhere in the country, but it seems like an SEC recruiting network would draw a lot of interest...and probably help the SEC get even more National recruits as well.

He's very young and as an 8th grader, he is already 6'3" and his fastball is at 82. He plays for Dulin's Dodgers and was on the Grenada varsity baseball team again, as an 8th grader and he posted a respectable ERA of 2.59. I think it's a very good pick up as he is will grow some I'm sure, and even if he doesn't- 6'3" is still SEC size for sure.

I think baseball recruiting is going to be confined to Perfect Game unless some competitor comes along. Reason being high school kids that play football and basketball have to go to college. With baseball- not necessarily. Gene actually does a good job with baseball recruiting- if you can weed out the fluff of course.

Good stuff, Todd. Thanks
