Today I subscribed to Hailstate TV and bought the iPad app. So I'm assuming now I can watch baseball games on both laptop and iPad. So now, if I get Apple TV does that mean I can stream from iPad directly to my flat screen? If so, is it clear or does it lose quality by going from one device to another?

Trying to determine if it's worth buying Apple TV. And if so, do i have to get the latest and greatest, or can i get 1st generation and be ok? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

It works great!

Used it today for the first time. I have an iPad 2 and used Apple TV to get the game on my TV. The picture was outstanding. I'm really looking forward to enjoying the rest of the season this way.

Which generation Apple TV do you have?

You have to have the newer Apple TV. 1st Gen won't work.

I have the original 1st gen Apple TV and it doesnt support airplay/airstream......I ended up getting the more updated version to see baseball games last season for that very purpose....

I have a HailState TV subscription. Can I watch live games with that on my Ipad?

What about the audio only? I thought about getting that just because I'd almost rather listen to Jim than watch the games, especially when I'm not there and have other **** to do. Can I stream that through an Iphone?

Yes you can. I'm not sure if the "audio only" version costs anything, but if so, you could just get the tune in radio app for free and pick up the West Point station 100.9.

Also, the TV version on HailState is in sync with the radio broadcast so you hear Jim when you watch the live feed as well.

Yesterday was the first time I had tried HailState TV, and it was nice. VERY good picture on my laptop. I'm going to try it on iPad today, and then may try to buy Apple TV soon.

Thanks for this info, Beretta. I was about to buy a used Apple TV 1st generation online....glad I didn't. That would have been a bummer.

They blocked out the Tune In app for a lot of games last year. You cannot beat the ipad / apple tv setup. I bought it before the 1st SEC weekend last year when Hailstate TV went HD and it is great. A lot of away games are broadcast too.
