You should ask CFE how many points would Fairleigh Dickinson beat wvu by. Would it be 17? Fairleigh Dickinson won by 5 wvu loses to Purdue by 12 points is that what the numbers say? If Wvu would have never played Purdue, we would have had at least 5 threads stating that we could have won the Big 10.
Sound advice, but hard to follow when dealing with such an arrogant blowhard. I, for one, will try harder.
There is a massive divide between “coddling“ and the first thing you guys think of when WVU loses their last game of the year is…”oh boy! Wait until I run to the board and give some lonely old ******* a hard time over this!”
I'm not happy WVU lost, but I'm not surprised as I stated earlier. That said, pointing out the truth about CFE is not attacking a "lonely old man" or an eternal optimist fan. It is acknowledging that he is a lying blowhard.
He clogs the board with inane posts full of forced, fake country idioms.
He plays this cynical game where he touts his "credentials" writing for local small town newspapers and his reliance on "analytics/numbers" as reasons for people to take his opinion more seriously than anyone else. He hardly ever actually explains HOW the numbers add up to his opinion, and the few times he does it frequently is a non sequitur.
He will then thump his chest to the heavens when his opinions/predictions eventual hold water, but completely ignore the more often than not scenario where he is wrong. It is in that moment he will pull his "aw shucks, I just can't help but be a homer for my ole Alma Mater fan" that you seem to be taken in by. This despite pulling his credentialism and "objective" analysis of the data.
If it is not that, it is attacks on everyone as being poorer and less cultured than his well traveled self (he's been to 48 states and X amount of countries, you know) with his "6 figure portfolio."
He is a complete grifter acting like a down to earth common man, but he has nothing but contempt and elitist attitudes toward anyone he thinks is less intelligent than him. And that is anyone who dares to point out flaws in his logic/opinions. The man literally said that because WVU only lost to 1, 2, and 3 seeds (not true, we lost to a team not even worthy of an NIT bid) that he "smelled and Elite 8" Yet anyone with a brain that dares to ask if as a 9 seed WVU is all but guaranteed to face a 1 seed, how it fits even giving him the benefit of the doubt with his flawed "analytics" since WVU was winless against anyone with a 1 or 2 seed.
He's not lonely and he's not old. He's also not a sports writer but a fraud. Add the fact he has 3 profiles. Possibly 4 now.

Officially I’m not remotely defending CFE and I haven’t for a while. He has been an ******* recently.
I just don’t make a habit of rejoicing in a WVU loss simply to make fun of a single poster.
Once again…there is nothing about CFE that can’t be fixed with the “ignore” button. If he is that impossible to deal with, then why deal with him at all?
If you guys all did that then guess what? He would f#$king leave.

It hurts the board as a whole. It drives decent posters off the board or at least makes the incentive to post less. New folks certainly will be driven off the moment they see what the majority of posts are on this board. It is not just CFE that does this. Bucky, Kazzman, and anyone else that throws bigotry claims at anyone who disagrees with them are just as toxic. As is anyone who only looks to pick a fight or instantly take an insulting stance to an idea or post they disagree with such as WVUFF or Rootmaster.
It drives down the amount of decent posters and it infects the one's left to see troll douchebaggery even where it is not because of how often it actually is present. So the ignore button is an option and one I have used. But at the rate the bad apples are posting, soon it will be only a handful of people we'll not have on ignore posting infrequently to each other.
I do put him on ignore, but I do sometimes give oxygen to the fire by clicking the "show ignored content" button which is my fault. That is usually because not much is being posted by those who do not wish to play in the mud. Unfortunately the ignore button is not going to help the situation as the **** stirring mob of WVUFF, Rootmaster, Kazzman, Buckaineer, King Coal, Muthed, CFE, etc... just keep throwing their figurative feces around amongst themselves. Anyone new is going to bail when they see the sea of utter horse crap that makes up most of this board. Those not worthy of an ignore will dwindle as the loss of legitimate discussion will snowball when non trolls visit less and less before eventually giving up.
