If we fired a coach that had pretty much built us up to being consistantly the 2nd or 3rdbest team in our league - who the hell would take the job?

how are we 2nd or 3rd in the SEC?

We are 4th in wins the last 10 years- 2 wins ahead of 5th place LSU
LSU has 3 SEC titles to our 1- but we do have 2 tourney titles- but a hot run in March doesnt mean much right? Or thats what I hear
We are one of only 4 teams that havent made a Sweet 16 in Stansbury's tenure

What exactly is the basis for us being 2nd or 3rd in the SEC?

People need to face facts - consistently making the NCAAs, and every once in a while having a nice run (like '96), is about as good as MSU can do in basketball. We are never going to get the players here year after year to do better than that. Stansbury does a great job getting what he gets here, but that's isn't good enough. This next level stuff is garbage.
