With Ramsey being used at RB & DE, I'm sure Robinson will get his touches at ŔB as a backup. My question is will Robinson be the main returnman for KO? (Not for PR, I know that's Luke Owen's job) I remember Isaiah Harris being in a similar spot a few years ago as Robinson is now. (Harris was brought up as a Freshman and for his Sophomore year he was behind McConnell at RB, but he was the main KO returnman)

I realize Ramsey will be a primary defender but is it written in stone that he will be the RB? He didn't see a lot of time with his brother at RB and Salem always seems to have a plethora of running talent waiting for an opportunity. Why chance Ramsey going both ways if not necessary? I can certainly see Mag's exploring his options with only a few bumpy games on the schedule. Maybe Ramsey starts but rarely sees the second half? It will be interesting to see how things role out. GL to the Spartans in 2016, the clear pre-season #1.

I see ramsey smoke Robinson and fox and a couple others splitting time. Look for qb beck!ey we tucker and te pinello having a banner year. With only a few tough games on the schedule by week 11 they will be a well oiled machine.

Robinson would be a good choice for KO. He's great in space.

I'm sure a bunch of different guys at some point this year will end up with the ball running out of the backfield because the FB position is just as likely to run it in Salem's I formation. Fox will likely be starting at FB, Ramsey at RB. Robinson and Kemp will get carries as they did last year. Paisley, Owen, Burnette, and several others could get the ball as well since they have experience at some point from MS up to JV running the ball. Beckley will run it if he's forced to and in key situations, like we saw in the championship game, can run on a designed roll out.

Of course Beckley's main focus will be throwing the ball. Tucker, Pinello, Quinn, Wade, Ramsey, and Fox will be his primary targets. (I'm hoping they'll use the 6'4" Sophomore TE Avery Close as well) No shortage of options running or receiving the ball.

I see Beckley with a banner year also. He made no mistakes in the Championship game. All good decisions. Managed the game like a pro and only a Sophomore. Major plus for the Spartans to have another undefeated regular season, getting a bye and having a top seed. Can't see anyone on their schedule that can make them break a sweat. It will be the same as last year. No one will actually know how good they are until post season.

Ramsey is going to be an absolute monster at FB. Kid plays mean the entire game. Hits mean, runs mean, been a long, long time since I've seen a kid this mean in a Salem uniform. Bigger, faster, stronger than his older brother. It's going to be an absolute treat to watch that kid play for another 2 years.

Watch out for that jumbo with Fox and Ramsey in it, oof.

I think it is more likely that Fox and Ramsey share time at FB and Robinson gets the majority of snaps at TB. Robinson is too good to not be on the field and he isn't going to be spending any time on defense. I think they will have some packages that have Fox and Ramsey in the backfield at the same time though.

I think you are right Shabutie. When I originally thought about the season, this is the way I envisioned it. Another Salem person suggested Fox/Ramsey as the main FB/RB duo. I think that will be used as the "Jumbo" package as 1MoreHokie suggested, but the Ramsey/Robinson duo will be the primary duo. It will be modeled like last year, instead of A. Ramsey/Clayborne you'll have D. Ramsey/Robinson with the jumbo package used when needed.
