I have not been able to watch hardly any games this year so far but because they can't shoot threes very effectively had any tried to play zone against us?

In my limited viewing, TCU used zone very effectively. We couldn't buy a 3 against them. Last night we made some early 3s and fgcu switched between man and zone for the remainder of the game. Ready is key to this team, if he can effectively distribute the ball and hit a few 3s to keep the D honest we can have some success.

I love the way this team plays. We shoot free throws like crap and 3s are streaky but other than that they pay hard (usually fundamentally sound) basketball. The TCU game was disappointing but we had the trifecta of bad mojo working against us in that one game, couldn't buy a 3, missed a ton of free throws and has a few starters in foul trouble 4 minutes into the game.
There will be some frustrating games, but over all this team is exciting to watch.

I have been to most of them, our D is much more effective now than it was early in the year, it's what this team will have to build around. We just don't have any go-to shooters outside so this team can never rely on the 3 from what I have seen. We have seen quite a bit of zone so far. In spite of zone Sword driving the lane and the occasional pull up is where his points are coming from now, he is just very quick with the ball. Like SL says, Ready is key to this team but I think the athletic PG's he will see in SEC play is going to hurt him. Borchert was a complete liability last night, hope that changes we need some production from there.
